We are having some fantastic weather right now, and I would have liked to have ridden to work, but since I am meeting up with my parents for dinner (and to pick up stuff) I needed to take the car.
To top it off, construction started up again in my neighborhood so traffic ground to a halt even though I left a little later today. How could there be this much traffic after rush hour? The road work is on the final stages, so hopefully they will be done in a couple of weeks and it will be smooth pavement for the rest of the year! (And many years to come!)

Since it was my dad's birthday, I took my parents out for dinner. Instead of the usual cheap Chinese food or cheap steak, I took them out for Indian. Actually, he had originally suggested Thai, but that was not that much different from Chinese food, so I decided a slightly more exotic menu. We'll see if they go back, but I did end up eating way too much again.
