[1:49 PM EDT - In the paper.]

I was reading an article this morning about a neat idea of harnessing waste heat for energy, although I keep wondering why they could not use a Sterling or heat engine instead? One thing that was mentioned in the article was the idea of using these tornadoes to transfer heat out of the atmosphere. It may work, but the idea is ridiculous: we would be throwing pollutants from the lower atmosphere up into the upper atmosphere where they do not belong. Stuff like the ozone layer may be affected as many of the chemicals that can easily break down ozone would now bypass a large part of the barrier that prevents them from reaching those heights. Mind you, it may not get through the Tropopause so I probably have no grounds to worry.

The other news was passed along by MS. Apparently Cycle World has shut down.

[8:29 PM EDT - I cannot really afford it but..]

I finally picked up a set of rims today. There were only three of them, and there were no tires attached, but at least they looked like they were in good condition. Now I actually have a three extra rims. Two of which are salable.

Anybody out there interested in a rim?
