[3:42 PM EDT - Now in XML!]

Okay, so if you are running a browser capable of handling XHTML pages in XML, you should now be viewing these pages in XML!

Of course, this means that if there is an error, the browser will spit out some crazy XML error screen, but hey, this is the sign of the times no?

[5:16 PM EDT - I broke Ajax.]

XML is so unforgiving. After sifting through some of the pages and clearing up some issues, I discovered that my Ajax implementation did not work after the upgrade. Unfortunately, I do not actually get any errors. I just does not work.

Well, I still have time before the party tonight so I will continue working on this.

Oh geez, I have not made any journal updates in the past couple of days either. I am falling behind!

[Sunday, August 12, 2007: Present(s) at party.]

Windelynn was having a birthday dinner tonight so I spent most of the day working with Garfield on Windelynn's present. I needed to contact people to see who would chip in so we could figure out total cost, and it was amazing how quickly people responded to my PMs.

Garfield himself was a little shocked when I told him who was willing to contribute, and I had not even gone through the entire list of potential friends. I probably should have asked a few more, but I got quite tired of organizing all of this by that time.

The original idea was to get a new exhaust for Windelynn's motorcycle, but when we had more people contributing than expected, the present expanded to include a mesh jacket as Windelynn had been riding Squid downtown for a while.

I was running a little late when I got some bad news, so I had to stay at home for a while to try to console someone. (I am not very good at that sort of stuff.)

Afterwards, I headed downtown to meet up with the crew. I had originally thought that they were going to one restaurant when Garfield told me that it was somewhere else. Apparently the location had changed and I never found out. Lucky!

The dinner thing was okay. I had planned to not eat as I had hockey tonight and did not want to leave on a full stomach. However, I did not want to be rude so I ordered some soup. There were two things that annoyed me. The first was that MIBAgentQ did not order food, and the second was that the soup (cherry soup) was.. not to my liking. Actually, I had to force myself to finish it. I would not consider forcing myself to finish food that I did not like eating when I did not even have to get food was not the best thing in the world, especially if you saw the price for the soup.

However, Garfield and MJNL both gave me some of their food, and the two cakes were really tasty. (Yay for chocolate!) It was Ronnie's birthday as well so it was a bit of a joint birthday venture.

Oh, apparently the motorcycle was upgraded the same day. We were planning to show Windelynn the bike on Sunday but she was potentially heading to Mexico that day, so the timetable was moved up. The presents were a little surprising and quite appreciated methinks.

I do not think I mentioned this earlier, but while we were sitting around after we got back from the cottage last week, Garfield mentioned that he thought I was going out with MM at the last BBQ. Why was that? Just for the record, it was the first time I ever met MM, and she is not my type.

Secondly, I was extremely surprised to see MJNL there. She did not have any real direct connection with Windelynn, but she did go to the cottage last weekend. BL did point out that she was single while we were up there, so was she trying to set her up with someone? *rubs chin*

I ended up leaving a little late, and coupled with an accident on the highway, I was late for the game. I did not play well but we did win. Well, we should have won but it was a lot closer than any of us would have liked.

Anyway, we got each others numbers. I guess I will wait for a call.
