[12:13 AM CEST - Søg.]

Well, since my IP address is coming up as a Denmark location, Google has defaulted the language to Danish. It was a little confusing at first, but I guess it makes sense? Heck, when I am in Canada we do get Canadian specific Google pages so it does make sense. I wonder if it is possible to get it mixed up though?

[6:28 PM CEST - Wrong server?]

Argh, sending e-mail from my server has not worked in months, at least ever since I moved machines. I just found out that changing the mail server from smtphm.sympatico.ca to smtp1.sympatico.ca helped one guy, and it seems to have solved my problem as well! (I spent all day getting this fixed!)

[6:49 PM CEST - Lost.. and not found?]

Oh dear, it seems as if the e-mail I sent from my usual address has mostly been lost. Fortunately, I have not sent a whole lot of messages from there, but there was an important one. Stonaday had asked for my address so that he could send me a wedding invite. I responded a month ago. I am pretty sure he did not get it.

Well, the wedding is not for another month..

[11:48 PM CEST - Cable park and baklava.]

In addition to fixing my e-mail, I went to a cable park this morning which was quite fun! I had never wake boarded or anything similar. Well, snowboarding is similar, but I suck at it. We only stuck around for an hour, so all I was able to do was get up and fall with every attempt I made to ride. We never got the hang of cable riding, but I am pretty sure that if we had another hour, we would have been able to get somewhere..

Eventually.

Afterwards, they dropped me off where the bubbles were, and I wandered around for a bit looking for the apartment. When I finally got back to home base, I picked up the post cards, and got them mailed off. Then I went to the grocery store and found some 'phyllo' pastry, picked up some expensive walnuts, and a lemon. I now had all the pieces I needed to make 'baklava'. I spent the next few hours preparing the dish and trying to figure out where all of the tools I needed were. I ended up using the 'Magic Bullet (appliance)' at a voltage it was not used to so it started to smoke. I quickly discontinued use of the appliance.

I was also surprised when I started laying down the sheets of 'phyllo' pastry. They were a little thicker than I was used to, and when I had laid down a couple of sheets, realized that there were only ten sheets in the package! There are usually around twenty in the packages I buy, which leaves me with about four layers of nut mix, but with ten, I did not have enough sheets to do something like that (one would normally separate the nuts by four or five sheets). In hindsight, I could have folded the sheets in half, but I had already started laying them down.

I ended up making two layers of nut mix, and cut the whole thing in half and laid one half on top of the other to get the approximate same height. It came out okay I guess, but it still was not what I wanted to do.

While the 'baklava' was baking, I worked on getting my e-mail back up and running. By the time everything was done, girl got back, and after waiting for Dangerman and one of their friends, we headed out for dinner. I finally got to meet.. I forgot her name already! Anyway, she was tall!

After dinner, we walked back to the apartment. Dangerman wanted to see a statue of The Merman and his Seven Sons under water, but we could not see anything in the dark. Our little detour got us a little wet, but the heavy rains came after we got back inside.
