[1:24 PM EDT - Hair cut and money.]

I was in dire need of a hair cut (and a shave) so I got myself cleaned up before I headed to the bank to pick up some money for the wedding. I think long hair is not very becoming of me. Although overly short hair does not look good on me either.

In any case, I went to the bank to pick up some bills. Since I never got around to getting a present for CJF, I am left with giving money. Since this wedding has Chinese people in it, giving money is a viable alternative. Unfortunately, the bank was packed. My other choice was to use the bank machine, but I did not know any way to force the machine to spit out fifty dollar bills or what amount to withdraw to make the machine automatically spit out two fifties. Fortunately for me, as I was walking in, IT walked by and I said "hello". Of course, with the helmet nobody could recognize me so I had to take it off.

I was told that if you withdraw two hundred and fifty dollars, the machine will give you a fifty. Withdrawing three hundred will result in two fifties. I was going to get in line, but IT got the money for me. Score! No waiting in line..

So now I am back and I just took a shower and got in my suit. Should I ride in my suit to the wedding?

[3:44 PM EDT - I rode.]

Wow, riding in a suit, with dress shoes. I am sure other people have done it before. I was in quite a rush though, and I got to the church a bit after two, which made me late. But weddings always start late, so I did not miss anything.

My tie seems a little worse for wear, but everything else still seems to have their seams in the right place. Me included. I do not think I got as many stares as I thought I would get. Maybe I should do this more often?

Maybe not.

[11:13 PM EDT - Badminton and Setos.]

I just got back from the reception. Yeah, I was early, but the people who I met at the reception all left early! There were not many people there who I knew apart from the bride and groom, so I figured that it was time for me to go. Besides, I did not want to put my knee under any more strain that I needed to. Maybe I should have gotten on to the dance floor. CJF's sister was cute. (But this is probably not a good time.)

There were two interesting things that came out of this evening. The first occurred when I first entered the reception hall (after realizing that there were two receptions taking place and going to the right one). The bartender was actually someone I recognized! He recognized me as well, but I could not put a finger where I had seen him before. I am pretty sure he was in the same boat as I was, because I had to think about it for a while before realizing that I played badminton with him! He had not shown up too often so I had forgotten his name, which was fine since he forgot mine. But apparently he moved so he will not be playing badminton with us anymore. Too bad, he was one of the better players.

The second interesting thing occurred when I was taking a look at the seating arrangements. Apart from the fact that my name was the only one where the table number was misprinted (it was printed under my name for some reason), I noticed (after CJF mentioned it) that there were a lot of other Setos on the list. Apparently two of CJF's aunts had married guys with the last name of Seto! I got to meet one of them and he was certainly more white washed than I was. (Reminded me of EL actually.)

I also got to meet a bunch of CJF's friends from university. I have seen one before, but I only recognized her because she was cute. I did not recognize any one else. It was fun though. Everyone was nice and talkative. Uhh.. I wonder what the photos will look like though..
