[8:26 AM EDT - This could be a long day.]

Well, my tie has seen better days. My stint on the highway has not been very good to it, so I am not sure what I can do to fix it. Anyhoo, I have to get going.

[Sunday, September 9, 2007: Brunch, planes, and movie.]

The plan for today was for us to go out to CJF's post wedding 'dim sum' brunch, then head to the 'Canadian National Exhibition' to watch the 'Canadian International Air Show'. Apart from that, there were no real plans.

I got up fairly early and headed downtown to pick up MJNL. The drive was really nice, as the streets were empty on this Sunday morning. The weather was also fantastic: A few clouds, warm temperatures, and a light breeze. I did not really take it easy on my way downtown, so I ended up being quite early.

We arrived at the restaurant about half an hour early so we wandered around the area for a bit before going back. By the time we returned to the restaurant, the reserved area was still empty. Ah well, we sat down anyway. We were only there for a few minutes before CJF's family showed up, then more and more people started to filter into the reserved area. Virtually all of the people there were strangers to me, although I recognized some of them from the wedding.

Eventually CJF showed up and after making their rounds, they sat down next to us! Even GF joined our table, so we ended up at the cool table. *nods*

The food was good and plentiful; the conversation was light and entertaining. We certainly had a good time while we were there. But the time we were allowed to stay in the restaurant had elapsed and the employees began to dismantle the partitions that were keeping our area separated from the general public.

Once the last barrier came down, I heard my name being called. I looked around and saw HaremPresident standing there! Well, I introduced him to MJNL and chatted for a bit before we headed out.

Since we had plans already, we declined to follow the group to the 'Blue Jays' game. Our trip back down town was plagued by traffic, but we still were able to make it down to the Exhibition grounds at the beginning of the air show. We spent a few hours outside watching the planes, which also led me to my eventual goggle tan as I had not applied any sunscreen.

Later that afternoon, we headed into the 'Canadian National Exhibition' and took a look at a number of the presentations. We watched the 'Snowbirds' fly, the gamblers in the casino, the bikers/skater/boarders doing tricks, the chef cook, and some crazy presentation at the end of the night.

Afterwards, we headed back to MJNL's place where we watched 'Office Space' before I went home.
