[8:40 AM EDT - A new racquet?]

I was talking with MC who was showing off a number of racquets and he told me that he would be able to sell me one of his old ones for a really good price. The racquet is better than any of my older ones, so I jumped at the opportunity. Of course, I did not have the money at the time, so hopefully I'll be picking it up next week.

[Saturday, September 22, 2007: Up the tower; down to the market.]

We got up fairly early so that we could go down to the 'Eaton Centre' to go shopping for a dress shirt for myself. My other two dress shirts were a little small for me (neck-wise) so I needed to find a new shirt. With MJNL's help, I was able to get a nice shirt.

Afterwards, MJO and I headed down to the 'CN Tower' to take a look at the tower. I had not been up in years using the elevator, so it was an interesting change to be the tourist this time. After spending some time on the tower, we headed down and checked out the 'Hockey Hall of Fame'. We hung around there for a few hours before trying to go to 'Casa Loma', but fortunately MJO took a look at the ticket and found out that 'Casa Loma' closed at five, which meant that there was no way for us to get there on time.

Instead, we headed off to the 'St. Lawrence Market' for less than an hour. We both picked up some amber 'maple syrup' from a store that actually sold light, medium, amber AND dark maple syrup! He was good enough to let us try out all four types, and I had to settle on the amber for the flavour which I can use for baking. I bought one litre, which should be enough for approximately four batches of maple baklava.

Afterward, we wandered back to the 'Eaton Centre' and hung around the book store before heading out to dinner with Laz and MJNL at HoSu.

We had plans to watch '3:10 to Yuma' tonight, but the showings were either too early or too late. We threw around ideas of watching other movies, but decided to go to Laz's work place to spend the time before the next showing. We started playing NHL 08 and our ideas of going out to watch a movie quickly evaporated in our repeated attempts to defeat the computer.

It was fun though, but I think I should have gone home earlier to get more sleep..
