I got a call from the orthodontist's office asking if I could reschedule my appointment to another day. It was quite serendipitous as I needed to talk to them about some missing receipts from last year!
So hopefully by next week I will have my audit all sorted out..

Well, with the hot and humid weather we have been getting lately, it was just a matter of time before we got another heat wave. Starting from the 31st and continuing until now.

The meat was supposed to hit the BBQ at seven-thirty, so I figured that if I showed up fifteen minutes before then I would have plenty of time. I got to the house near seven-thirty. I was the first one there.
In fact, I was there for ten minutes before the next person showed up, and it took another ten minutes before anyone else showed up. It was not until past eight when people started to show up, and it was already starting to get dark when the BBQ was fired up.
In any case, once people started coming, people did not stop coming. The turn out was really good actually. I spent most of my time indoors to take advantage of the air conditioning, but the vast majority of the people stayed outside.
I did go out for a bit, until we started playing poker. I had two really bad hands, but I was able to nearly break even, which was more than I could say for Durka, who was down a pretty penny. It was all good though, but I did not leave the house until it was getting close to two. I did not get into bed until quite late that night..
