[2:59 PM EST - Okay, maybe there was one.]

So I missed Jax's final update of the year. Hey, I was in a rush! Anyway, she goes on to talk about her first thoughts about being accepted to the gifted program all those years ago. Boy. Gifted. It's funny how some very bright kids were left out (I can think of at least one), while some other students ended up with the program although they really had no business being there (I can think of at least one as well). SLWD and I were talking about this sort of stuff when he drove me back home. It's amazing when you look back how some people turned out.

I remember when I was given the choice whether to begin going to Churchill Heights immediately, or to finish off the year (It was mid-May) at Anson S. Taylor. I chose to start immediately. A few years later, when I bumped into NS, he asked me why I left so suddenly and didn'f finish off the year at AST. He went on to tell me how they had this big farewell party for our student teacher (who's name I can't recall, but I think he was Australian) and that it would've been ideal as a farewell party for me as well.

I didn't have an answer to that. What could I say? It felt "right"? It's my nature? Perhaps in five years time, I'll just pick up my stakes and leave never bothering to tell people where I went. I guess it is in my nature; all I need is a kick and then I'm gone. Funny that.

Okay, now I need a kick to go and skate. One.. two..
