[12:49 AM EDT - One more day..]

Howdy! We're entertaining some visitors from out of town for the weekend, so I probably won't be putting much up for the next little while. I still have to finish packing, get a haircut, and probably get equipment for the broomball tournament next week. I found out my schedule. Two games on Tuesday(one at seven in the morning!), one game on Wednesday, and THREE games on Thursday! Three games! Oi. If I'm not sore from all the stuff I do now, I'll sure be sore after next week. These games don't even include the playoffs! Argh! Maybe I should invest in some health insurance..

Anyway, Laz has an update up, and he's got a lot of new toys to play around with! It must be nice to have money..

Okay, time to cut this off. I don't think I'll get access in Victoria (despite the "high speed internet access" that they advertise for the Howard Johnson's Inn I'm staying at. Perhaps I'll find a way though, I've got some time to kill on Monday..

[10:03 PM EDT - Girls and their shoes..]

We went downtown today to walk around and enjoy the sights (read: shopping). Yes, I went downtown with three girls. Yes, they wanted to go shopping. Yes, I also have no idea how I got dragged along, but dragged along I was. Anyway, we went to visit one of our visitor's friends who's living in Toronto ATM. She was suffering some transportation crisis (told us about some guy who got pushed in front of a subway recently - but that was just an aside) and after helping her out she let us park at her house for free! Yay! Free parking downtown!

This allowed us unlimited access to the area which we were going to concentrate on: Kensington market. We wandered around that area for a while, checking out stores and this Chilean restaurant which had some pretty good food. After we met up with HR, we went shopping. Well, let's say that they went shopping and I was just there to spectate. I really can't remember all too much, but I do remember finding out where Kikiwai was (it's an awfully small store), and going into this shoe store where they had these huge platform shoes whith soles that are half-a-foot thick! I kid you not folks, these things could walk on lava and the feet will remain nice and cool. No, they didn't buy any of those shoes (fortunately).

Afterward, we came back near our house for some vegetarian food (we had vegetarian food all day). That reminds me, I had these pankakes and fries for a snack at this cafe we stopped at for a while. Their menu was filled with pictures of all of their dishes, and I noticed this pankake dish (with the fries) and asked the rest of the group if people actually ate fries with their pankakes. After a bit of soul searching, I decided to order the dish. When it arrived at the table, I was shocked to see that it looked EXACTLY like it did in the photograph. Down to the two packets of ketchup. It was a little eerie. The food was fine, albiet in short supply, but it was cheap.

Let's see, there were some wedding pictures we looked at, and I really should get a copy of some of them. Oh yeah, I gave Squishy a call (after DWC called me about Ultimate). I heared about her Halloween costume, and I've GOT to see pictures. No, no.. I'm not going to tell you what it is, but if she wants to post them.. *rubs hands in anticipation*

You know, I haven't really dressed up for Halloween for a long time. I really should at some point in time. Maybe next year. Anyway, I should get going. They're plaing cards downstairs and I should join them. We'll see how my packing goes tomorrow!
