It seems as if my connection is back up and running, albeit still crappy, and still slow. I'm tempted to go and complain, but I usually only have connection problems with the school, and not with most other sites. It was only last night where something got FUBARed. Oh well, I'll sit on it a little longer..

While chugging around the news sites, I heard (first on ArsTechnica) that Direct X 8.0 should be coming out in a couple of days. Hopefully, they'll have improved Win2k performance.. Furthermore, I heard from the ShackNews that Netscape 6.0 is finally out and about.
With all of this hoopla surrounding the American presidential election, I wonder how the other countries in the world think? The last recount showed that there were only 327 votes separating the two candidates. Holy crap!

What the..? People thought that this thing was confusing? Really? Oh well, all I can do is sit back and laugh at the mess.

What horrible weather we're getting right now. Overcast, windy, wet, cold.. how fallish. It's one of the few days when I'm actually glad I stayed inside.
Oh yeah, my lack of access to my account during my trip to Victoria last weekend highlighted a serious problem with my journal: I need access to my account to update. I'm thinking of setting up some sort of web based journal updating script that should allow me to update my page so long as I have access to a web browser. Of course there are security issues and a boatload of possible problems, but I think it would be a worthwhile investment of time. *cracks knuckles* Let's get cracking huh?

Yay! I've finished writing up my journal update form. It's still a little lacking in features, but it works. I'm going to tinker with it for the next little while so as to reduce the amount of fiddling around I have to do to set up an entry (like automatically generating the entry time, and week day), but I'm pretty happy with it ATM.
