[11:18 AM EST - Flashy site.]

I got a link from girl for one of her friend's homepages. It uses flash, and since I don't have it installed ATM, I have no idea what it is.

[11:23 AM EST - Ex-problems.]

KGL seems to be the only person with an update up (and a little message too). Other than that, some of you may want to look at this thread on ArsTechnica.

[8:37 PM EST - Much faster.]

It seems as if the scripts are running much faster now. I'm not sure what the heck happened, but I'm not complaining! Hopefully they've permanently fixed the problem that caused the slowdown in the first place.

[11:15 PM EST - Dinner survey.]

I went out to my grandmother's place for dinner today. I was warned ahead of time about this event so I was fairly prepared. It was only girl and I who went, so when I saw how much food there was on the table, I was wondering who else was invited to the feast. Nobody apparently. Do all grandparents always cook so much food? Oi, it's not like I need to grow any more (outwards).

Anyway, before we headed out for dinner, girl hands me the phone. Funny, I wonder who it is. Answering the call, I heard a male voice on the other end asking if I was a male who was eighteen or over. Yes, yes I am. Then he asked if I could answer some questions for a survey.

Doh!

I'm very bad at turning people down, so I ended up staying on the phone for around ten minutes, eventually discovering (from the questions asked) that the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) wanted to find out what people thought of it. Man, I'd hate to have his job. *scratches off telemarketer off of job prospects*

[Friday, November 10, 2000: Broken connection.]

Geez! for some reason my network connection died last night right in the middle of writing this entry. It hadn't come back up by one in the morning, so I went to sleep. Here's the rest of what I wrote:

Speaking of job prospects, I've been playing around with my CV here on my page and got around to throwing up some links for some of the abstracts for my Columbus talks. I figure I might as well take full advantage of this medium, but I don't want the page to suffer from linkitus.
