[12:33 AM EST - Fantasy becomes reality..]

I just saw this on the ShackNews. The new Final Fantasy movie trailer is out. I haven't checked it out yet (I still have to install Quicktime on my system) but you may want to see what's in store for us next year..

[1:14 AM EST - Forbidden trailers.]

Hmm.. I was told that ShadowWhyspr was updating her page, but it seems as if updating meant taking it down! (At least I can't see it, can you?)

I've gotten around to downloading Quicktime (v4.1.2) and I've finally seen the Final Fantasy trailer and the Dungeons and Dragons trailer. The effects in the D&D movie are good, although seeing the live action sequences, it seems as if the plot is very straightforward, and predictable (not to mention the huge potential for cheese). We'll see how it goes. The Final Fantasy trailer on the other hand was pretty cool. As with the games, the storyline is not always straightforward, and usually the stories and ideas that they come up with are.. well, I don't know where they come up with them. But they're usually cool. I hope this movie turns out well.

The D&D movie should be coming out on December 8th while the Final Fantasy movie is coming out sometime next year.

[2:25 AM EST - Laz vs Counter-Strike.]

Laz has a blurb up about his problems with his Linux box and becoming god on Counter-Strike. (Which is the opposite of what MJO said.) Personally, I didn't think Counter-Strike 1.0 affected me gameplay-wise. I still did just as poorly. The animations were different because the models were new, and there are a few new weapons. The new submachine gun has a bit more stopping power then the tried-and-true MP5, but at 25 rounds per clip and with my (lack of) accuracy..

For those of you who don't like the animations in 1.0, 1.1 should have the old models and animations put back into the game (from what I heard from the ShackNews). I must agree with MJO that the new models look.. funny, but once you get over the initial shock, the game is much the same.

I couldn't tell if the firepower of the guns were reduced, but that AWP still is a one shot - one kill weapon. *smacks lips*

If you hit that is. (Which is rare in my case.)

Anyway, I should hit the sack. It's getting late.. (but not KGL late)

[12:08 PM EST - This just in..]

Damn! I hate it when I hit the escape button!!

<- had a huge entry!

Anyway, I got two messages (One from girl, who got it from K-Boy, and one from Squishy) this morning about a petition started by the folks at "This Hour has 22 Minutes".

For those of you who've been keeping up with the Canadian elections, you know that Stockwell Day of the Alliance Party has proposed to implement new legislation to hold a referendum if a petition is signed by 3% of the electorate (around 350 000). Three hundred and fifty thousand?!? That's peanuts!

The petition proposed by "This Hour has 22 Minutes" states:

"We demand that the government of Canada force Stockwell Day to change his first name to Doris"

So go sign up already!

Do you know why KGL is scared?

[2:33 PM EST - Anonymizer.]

Wow! The Anonymizer is great! I seem to get much faster access through it than normal, then again, at this time of the day, access is really slow..

BTW, MJO is right, his page has been updated, and even if you can't see it directly, you can see it through the Anonymizer. (It may have to do with updating the DNS caches.. but it should done by now shouldn't it?)

Okay, now to test this baby on a few pr0.. er.. other sites..

[4:14 PM EST - Mech Warrior 4.]

Although I read about it last night, I wasn't sure if I wanted to mention it, but I figure I might as remember when it came out (hopefully I'll be getting myself a copy). Oh yeah, the news is that Mech Warrior 4 has gone gold! (At least that's what the ShackNews has been saying.)

I expect to see it out on the shelves in a couple of weeks..

[4:20 PM EST - Star Wars Defence.]

I've been spending the last little while looking for a better copy of Troops. Instead, I ended up downloading a couple of Star Wars fan videos! Some are quite interesting, although not of the same quality as Troops.

Oh yes, for those of you interested, Dusty's defence is December the 11th! Who's interested in going?
