[2:25 AM EST - Late.]

I spent another night up late. Ugh. I got up early enough this morning to make it to skating. I ended up going for most of the two hours and realized that I hadn't lost too much of my skill since I injured myself a few months ago. Unfortunately, I also found out that my feet can't handle the stress of skating for long periods of time due to the time away, but I think I should improve as long as I keep skating regularly.

The show today (well, yesterday) went over pretty well. I got to see a lot of new series. (Remembering them is another matter.) ShadowWhyspr came to watch so it was nice to see her again (although I did keep pestering her to come ).

Unfortunately, because of time constraints, I didn't have anything to eat for the day. (I had one french fry and some water for the 24 hour period.) Fortunately, we gorged on sushi and sashimi after the (very late running) show. (We had the projector shut down on us, had tapes arrive late, etc.)

Anyway, it's time for me to go to sleep. *yawn*

[2:36 AM EST - One more thing.]

There are two updates up that I noticed. One by KGL and one at the NVM. (Okay, it seems like there IS a difference between these two..)

[Monday, November 27, 2000: A longer day than expected.]

HaremPresident and I got up a little late. We were supposed to be picked up by HNT at half-past ten. Guess when we woke up? Anyway, I quickly got showered and dressed before we contacted him. That's when we found out that he was still sleeping. Oh. At least that gave me some time to finish packing and dry off.

We ended up at the King Street Trio an hour later than planned (just a bit before noon) and were lucky enough to get a couple of tables that were close together. The buffet was really good, as usual, and the price was right (fifteen bucks plus tax and tip).

After brunch, the group went out to Silver City to watch "Unbreakable". Just as I was going to sit down, I heard someone call my name. Looking up, I saw SC sitting right behind our group! What the heck? That was pretty surprising. I ended up talking with her for a minute before the movie started. She made some comments about me knowing a couple of her roommates and I was gonna tell her that I felt sorry for her, but I figure that those people will be reading this so I held back.

Anyway, "Unbreakable" was a pretty good movie, and I didn't realize how much it had to do with comics (I had come back to Waterloo to pick up some of my comics) until the opening credits. (I had thought the comic reference was for a trailer for another movie.) There was a comment during the movie about Japanese comics, which elicited a chuckle from our section of the audience. I don't want to spoil the movie, but I must say that it was pretty good. It's a different take on the "super hero" theme, and the ending is a kick in the head.

Afterward, we headed off to JCC's place to watch some missed animé. Some of us had missed Initial D and wanted to catch up, of course, JCC also had a few episodes from the second Jo Jo's OVA series..

Had they actually been translated, I would've been a bit more vocal about seeing them, but watching it anyway, with enough comments from the peanut gallery to help with understanding the plot, was good enough to keep my interest. I definitely have to get a copy at some point in time. The people who have seen the first series will know why.

We did watch some of the Initial D episodes that some of us had missed, but the projector kept dying on us. (It had died at the show as well.) We think it has something to do with the power connection, but since it's under warranty..

Anyway, we ended up missing a couple of the episodes, but we at least say the climax of the gum tape death match. I was given a ride back to TO and didn't get back in until half-past midnight, at which I decided to forego updating this page and went so bed.
