[12:32 PM EST - Afternoon.]

I'm up! Well how about that? I've been doing some news reading and came across this article (from the ShackNews) about oceans being once on Mars.

Update over with KGL, and.. that's about it. Hmm, nobody worth talking to huh? *drums fingers*

[4:44 PM EST - Frozen pond.]

I went out to the pond this afternoon to see if it was okay to go and skate on it. The weather was cold, but it was very sunny, and when I got there, I thought for a moment that the pond was still unfrozen. I actually had to get a lot closer to realize that the ice was actually quite thick along the edge of the pond. I would say that the ice was a few inches thick most of the way into the pond, but still wouldn't be thick enough to support my weight. *does ice thickness check*

They employ a flag system for the pond where a red flag means that people are not allowed to skate on the pond, while a green flag denotes "skate at own risk". I didn't see any flags out, so I wasn't sure what the heck was going on. Still, there was nobody on the ice, and I didn't want to be a poor role model for the kids wandering around the park, so I headed home.

I'll check again next week. It should be up and running by then.
