[12:25 AM EST - Not scannerless.]

Hmm.. after tinkering around with the scanner, I found out that it was NOT broken. In fact, the only thing wrong with it was that the scanning mechanism was stuck, and that was because there was a switch on the bottom that locked the device! (I guess for transport.)

Anyway, I'll be scanning some pictures in the near future. I'll have to decide what to put up..

[12:30 AM EST - Post badminton.]

Oh yeah, I went to play badminton tonight. It's actually not bad. I'm somewhere in the middle of the pack when it comes to talent, so sometimes, I have it easy, but usually..

At least I'm getting some exercise. I'm thinking of going down to the Town Centre for skating sometime soon. Too bad there's a storm that's going to hit later today. I wonder if I'll be able to make it to broomball?

Anyway, Laz has an update and KGL also has an addition. Umm.. let's go and scan in some pictures shall we?

[1:45 AM EST - Oh no..]

Oh no.. oh no, no, no..

I knew this was going to happen. I was warned by HaremPresident when I went to Waterloo last weekend, but I still can't believe that Clone*Army is up! I can't believe that FlyingS is helping them too! We're doomed! We're all doomed! *runs around in circles*

*pant* *pant*

Okay, enough with the hysteria. It's time to work on some pictures.

[2:13 AM EST - Clone*Army.]

Okay, I've been doing a bit of snooping around on their new site, and a I like some of the subtle things they threw in there, like the picture they used for FlyingS (in his Galactic Empire Uniform) or the picture they used for HaremPresident. Now, for those of you who don't watch CCS, you don't know who this guy is. Well, he's basically a Cliff Clayton, except that he's always spreading lies, and he knows it.

For example, if he was playing badminton with someone, he'd tell that person that badminton was actually invented in ancient Assyria (the capital of which was Ashur, Kalhu, Dur-Sharrukin, and Nineveh in that order) while the farmers were swatting away the flies that were bothering the cows. This became a sport to them, and they started to hit the flies back and forth over the cow. Now, time went by and when the ancient Babylonians adopted the game, they realized that they were not skilled enough to hit flies, so they started hitting birds instead. The cow was replaced by a net, and the game has not changed since!

Wow, long example (you can check out the history of badminton here). Anyway, the point is that the explanation is moderately believable and can fool anybody.

I'm not saying that HaremPresident is that type of person. He's actually a fountain of knowledge where the stuff he says is right. (Sort of like FlyingS, but on non-technical stuff.) Anyway, we'll see how this project of theirs goes..

[2:52 AM EST - News Bytes: Masquerade.]

Why am I still up? I should be sleeping! I don't want to pull a KGL! Ahem. Anyway, I was perusing the ShackNews, and came across this interesting article about some reporter who masqueraded as an employee of a dot.com for a couple of weeks..

[2:55 AM EST - Kung Fu.]

Oh hey, is there anyone who'll be in the Toronto area next Sunday? There's going to be a kung fu presentation at Seneca College that I'll be attending. Anyone interested in going?

[1:06 PM EST - Down.]

For some reason, I can't seem to access Scienide via http. However, I can still telnet in. Funny that. I should keep this short because my connection went down recently, but it seems like people on the local subnet can still see my page, that's why I'm throwing up an update. In any case, I'm going to check out what sort of things have been happening recently..

[4:16 PM EST - Up.]

Seems like the connection's back up again. I have no idea what went wrong, but I don't particularly care ATM. Anyway, it seems as if KGL and NVM both have some studying to do.

[4:53 PM EST - Sailor sumo.]

Umm. I don't know how the heck HaremPresident came across this link, but.. I'm only putting this up here for posterity. For those of you who wish to keep your lunch, don't check it out. (Ick.)

[5:16 PM EST - Rally.]

Holy crap! Did anyone buy into stocks before the rally burst out of the gates? *checks portfolio* Anyway, I spent some time cleaning up some odds and ends as well as finished wrapping the presents that I've already gotten. Now all I have to do is put some people on them and send them off to the right names. Or the other way around.

I've got broomball tonight. I should remember to get some money to pay off for the ice time, and I've also got some driving to do. Then there's dinner.. *juggles schedule*
