[Monday, October 22, 2000: A fitting tux.]

That morning, I was woken up by a phone call. Who the heck could be calling us so early? (It was around ten-thirty, but you know when I usually get up these days.) Laz answered the phone. He told me it was for me. Really? Then it must be..

You remember that phone call I made yesterday? It was to this girl I wanted to meet while I was down there, but she wasn't home so I left a message, and our phone number.

Anyway, I talked with her a little while, and set up a time to meet tomorrow. I wanted to talk with her some more, but I was getting fairly uncomfortable not wearing any pants and all, so I told her I would see her tomorrow and hung up. On hindsight, I should've just kept talking with her, especially after I realized how hard it was to get in touch with her.. (what was I thinking?)

After I had hung up. Actually, just after I put the receiver on the phone, Laz tells me that he wouldn't be able to drive me tomorrow because he has to go to a rehersal. Doh! Well that kinda sucks, especially since I couldn't call her back! Argh! I just figured that I would call her back later that night when she got home.

Werdna and I (since we didn't have anoything to do) went with Laz to Fairview to meet up with Growly and get their tuxedos fitted. Afterward, we went shoe shopping to find a pair of shoes for Laz that would go with the pair of shoes that Dangerman rented with his suit. (Why Laz and Growly didn't rent shoes as well.. well, don't ask me.)

We also had lunch there after the fitting. I got myself some poutine and some water. Well, actually, the water I decided not to get. The guy who took my order tried filling up a cup with tap water and dumped it. He took another one and showed it to me. The water was brown. Ick. Memories of drinking brown water from the school water fountain came back to me. He told me that they were probably cleaning out the pipes, so I passed on getting any liquid sustenance.

Oh yeah, I noticed an ad that pictured the top half of a woman wearing a winter jacket. The advertisement itself wasn't all to interesting, but do you remember those pictures that had triangularly ridged plastic surface that would show you one picture when you view at one angle, and another picture at another angle? Well, taking a couple of steps forward, the woman in the winter coat became the woman in just a bra and panties. What the? I'm glad they don't have anything like this on billboards. You can imagine how many accidents this may cause. (I still don't even know what the ad was for.)

Anyway, we spent the better part of the day in the mall. Afterward, since we didn't have much else to do, we went downtown with Dangerman (Growly had a dinner date) and had sushi at the Katsura restaurant. The food was good, although pricey. (I was told later that that restaurant, and all of the restaurants on that street was the expensive restaurants in town.) I also felt somewhat underdressed (being in my black sneakers, jeans, and Chem 13 shirt.) *shrug* What else is new?

Afterward, we headed down to the Peel Pub (which is located on Peel Avenue). Yes, we also have a Peel Pub here in Toronto (which is not located on Peel Avenue). Yes, it's also a very popular place. Apparently it's different than the on in Toronto, but (from what I've been told) it's a popular spot for Ontarians. Dangerman said that 70% of the people there are from Ontario. We wanted to go there because it was shooters night. One dollar per shooter. (It didn't affect me since I don't drink.) The place, however, was packed, and there was a line-up.

Canning that idea, we were limited to the number of places we could go. Clubbing was out since there's a dress code. *looks down at sneakers and jeans* Funny how I was the only one dressed for nothing. We ended up going to Sharx's for pool. I was pretty darned inconsistent the entire night. We played a few rounds and learned some pole swinging techniques from Dangerman before heading back to the hotel to crash.
