I have noticed how slow the feeds are from the other sites, and I think I have a way around it. Instead of calling the feeds on the fly, what I will do is to pull them into a local directory and hit the cache instead. I'll have these files updated every five or ten minutes, and then have the javascript check the cache every five or ten minutes. That should make things a little faster. I guess we'll have to see..

Ah, I only had a hundred messages in my inbox, and it only took me a couple of hours to sift through them all. It felt a little strange coming back after being away for over a week, but I'm back into my old groove again: Too much to do and some time to do it.

As long as we do not get any support calls this week, I may have a chance at finishing some of this stuff.
