[3:00 PM EST - Bulbs switched.]

I finally switched the bulbs in my kitchen light with fluorescent bulbs. Apparently the clips that keep the dome in place cannot be unscrewed. What you need to do is to pull them out and that allows you to slide the dome out. The clips are held on by springs (pretty tight springs) so that is why it took me so long to figure it out.

Anyway, I'm using a lot less energy now. I have some cleaning up to do.
