[7:06 PM EST - Resume the résumé.]

I spent the afternoon updating my résumé using the HR-XML format. It is a bit of a pain to do by hand, but I had started it many moons ago and figured that I should get around to finishing it. I still have to finish with the work description and put together a style sheet, but most of the data is in. I do plan on replacing my XHTML versions with this copy, but I want to retain as much information as possible.

Also, since I have been conducting interviews in the past couple of months, I've been exposed to quite a number of different résumés and I think I need to expand on some of the areas which I have left quite sparce.

I'll get around to it eventually.

I have hockey tonight. This will be the first time that I have played hockey in nearly two months! I really should get back into my sports groove. I can feel the pounds of fat that I'm gaining.

[8:29 PM EST - I have added arrows.]

I have added arrows to the side bar (I also reduced the size of the side bar slightly). This requires reloading the javascript unfortunately. In addition, it seems to fail the accessibility check as there are no non-link printable characters to separate the two links. Should I get around it by not using an anchor?

[8:39 PM EST - Really, it is just a fad.]

I see that Windelynn has convinced a whole bunch of people on the board to start up blogs. MIBAgentQ already has one (for about two years) but the others just started theirs recently. How long do you think this will go on for?

I'll give them two months. Tops.

[Wednesday, January 10, 2007: First night on the ice.]

I came out to play hockey tonight. This is the first time in six weeks that I strapped on my skates. Normally, this is not that big an issue since everyone else had a month to forget how to play, and since I tend to be in decent shape I am not at a disadvantage.

Unfortunately we were short on skaters. With eight people on the bench, we normally have five forwards and three defencemen, which gives me a normal rotation. SW decided to change it to six and two, which means that I get no rest. There goes whatever advantage I might have had.

Fortunately, part way through the game, we had another skater show up so I was able to take breaks, but then I guess I'm so used to playing with subs that I was not tired at all after the game. Short, hard shifts and all that. (I had long breaks.) Oh well.

I did play a lot better than I thought I would though. I doubt this advantage would last though.
