[12:26 AM EST - The pictures are in!]

Thanks to HKL, I got a number of my digital pictures turned into real photos. The quality of the photos are pretty good actually, despite the poor quality of some of my images. Had I known that Windelynn was going to be getting me this photo thing, I probably would have gotten less copies and more vertical photos, but oh well.

I just need four more vertical photos and one horizontal one. I was thinking of taking some out of my photo album, but realized that I had a considerable lack of vertical photos with me in them. Heck, there is a considerable lack of photos with me in them in general. (I rarely take photos of myself.)

Ah well, something to work towards in the future.

[Wednesday, January 10, 2007: Running on fumes.]

I was keeping track of gas prices and noticed that the cost of gas has been dropping steadily for the past few months. In fact, hitting lows under seventy-three cents is a pretty good sign that energy costs are down significantly.

Now I tend to fill my car up on Tuesday nights. This is for two reasons: The weekly gas price fluctuations usually bottom out on Tuesday nights and I play broomball on Tuesday nights. This combination makes it very convenient for me to fill up since the gas station that I pass by on the way home has some of the lowest prices I've seen this side of the city. (The prices in my neighborhood tend to me somewhat higher than those prices in the Markham or north Scarborough area.)

In any case, to make it to my Tuesday night fill up, I abstained from putting any fuel into the car for the past week. My car can get over six hundred kilometers per tank on a nice summer stretch, but with the cold weather my car tends to burn more fuel. As such, when the fuel light came on on the way back from the bank, I figured that I may barely have enough fuel to make it home, go to broomball, and then roll into the gas station.

I just did not realize how far the bank was from the condo. I never did calculate how much fuel my tank has when the light comes on. I'm guessing around five litres, which would equate to about fifty kilometers. The drive from the bank to the condo was close to thirty kilometers, and it is about five to the arena, and a few to the gas station.

That is cutting it close no?

I guess I should not have worried, I made it to the gas station in one piece. The price of gas was at 70.9 cents per litre and the place was full of cars, including two people who I played broomball with!

Oh, broomball was okay. I certainly got a fair bit of running in.
