[12:50 AM EST - Validation and clean up.]

I did some laundry and washed the dishes. There were a lot of dishes to clean after I made that cake.

Oh yes, the cake. Uh, I started to get worried when I saw that the chocolate frosting had started to separate. I did not notice it until I got to the bottom of the can and noticed the pool of oil. Well, let us just say that I probably will not be bringing any of it into work (on the off chance that I kill someone). The cake itself turned out.. okay I guess.

I left the cake in the oven longer than I had wanted, but it didn't seem to be any worse for wear (surprisingly enough). I tried a piece and it was fine. I'll find out more after I have finished digesting it.

While I was making the cake, I used up a lot of my leftovers to make dinner. Sausages in beans with onions and garlic. Yummy. I wanted to dice the onions, but when I threw the onion in the Cuisinart I ended up mincing it instead. All I have left now in the fridge is one egg, some cream, a lot of drinks, and some chicken. Oh, I still have garlic as well. I can always find a use for garlic though.

I did complete a number of tasks that I meant to do this weekend, but I still have some other things to work on. This resume thing for one is taking longer than I would like, but at least it is progressing. The validation is a pain. I also want to finish spell checking the old entries. Once I do that, and reformat the data, I can look into shoving everything into a database.

Right. Time to go to sleep.

[9:54 AM EST - Traffic lights out.]

I heard on the radio that the traffic lights at Woodbine and Steeles were out. This is important since I pass by that intersection to work. What is more interesting is that that intersection is the busiest intersection in Toronto. With the lights out, the traffic was backed up on the highway. Joy.

[10:32 AM EST - Kind of a taste of Japan.]

There is a restaurant near the office known as A Taste of Japan, but the company name is Kinda. RM noticed this when he saw their business cards, and told me that it was not a real Japanese restaurant since it was only kinda a taste of Japan.

[12:27 PM EST - Urinal one, urinal three.]

Last week we had an issue with one of the urinals. The left most urinal was plugged and flushing the urinal resulted in a wet floor. (I found that out the hard way.)

This week the rightmost urinal has a sign from management stating that the urinal was broken and the water had been turned off until they received the parts to fix it. The stench in the room reminded me of washrooms you find in Chinese restaurants. Not a good environment.

[Tuesday, January 9, 2007: Hard hitting.]

I was playing well tonight. I was not feeling tired, and my hits were mostly true. This is quite a difference from what I usually do, but it did end up coming at a price: my elbow and knee feel out of whack. I'll find out more when I wake up.
