[12:17 PM EST - How much do you want?]

I just got a text message from a number I don't know asking for a lot of money.

Wrong number?

[Sunday, February 4, 2007: Bakeoff redux.]

I had expected around ten people to show up for the bakeoff. Unfortunately, I got word that Squishy wasn't able to make it, but I had been warned beforehand so that was okay. I probably should have moved the meet time later, but I expected everyone to show up late anyway. So I was a little surprised when KH showed up right on time!

Doh!

It was alright though, I needed a fair bit of time to make my baklava, and KH had enough food to make two loads of Skor squares. So we chatted for the next few hours until the next person showed up, which was Laz. Laz wasn't baking anything, nor did Derelict or GWG. BL was the last one to show up, but she brought some apple crumble! It was all pretty tasty, although I think the Skor squares was the winner (and the easiest one to make to boot)!

We ended up ordering out for Indian food which was okay. I was just happy that it wasn't too spicy. The desserts were good, but there were so much food! I had hoped that more people would show up, but theMediaman cancelled so we were down four people in total. (The extra two eaters would have helped a lot!)

Most of us were so full afterwards that we basically chilled for the rest of the night. I guess that is what happens when you eat so much. It was all good though.
