[9:12 AM EST - Still a headache.]

Ugh, I still have a slight migraine, but today will be a very busy day so I hope I'll forget about it.

[9:32 AM EST - I knew I forgot to fix something.]

Oh, I forgot to convert my paragraph blockquote combinations into the descriptive lists in the links section. I guess I'll do that before I go.

[5:06 PM EST - Conspiring against me.]

I got back to the condo with the intention of riding downtown. I did not want to drive down, find a parking spot, pay for parking and walk around in the rain. The weather isn't the best for riding or driving, but walking in this rain can get annoying. I decided to risk it.

I think I was given a message when I got back from lunch. The spot next to mine was empty. In fact the two cars next to the empty spot were also far enough away from the wall that I could squeeze my bike through, so I took that as a sign that I probably should ride downtown. I quickly went upstairs to change and came back to pick up the bike.

It took about five minutes for me to go up and come back down, but when I walked into the garage, the spot was full. In fact, the guy had parked close enough to the wall that there was a deceptively large gap between the car and the wall, but I still had no chance of getting out. My bike was trapped. Again.

Just enough time to give me hope, but crush it just when I wasn't expecting it.

Ah well, I moved my car and pulled my bike out, grumbling all the time.

On the way downtown, I was taking one of the sharp turns and felt the bike move in a way that I didn't expect it to. It felt like it was sliding outwards. That didn't feel good. I took another turn and I got the same sliding sensation. I reduced my speed. I think I need new tires.

[Monday, December 25, 2006: That is a lot of rain.]

It was raining today. In fact, it was raining a lot today. I had originally planned on riding my bike uptown for lunch, but decided against that idea. I did not trust my tires in the rain all that much, and I wanted to do a bit of shopping as well.

I drove up to Pacific Mall to look for something but could not find it anywhere, so I tried to fall back on a backup plan but was not sure which model to pick. I eventually gave up on that idea and picked up a DVD for Squishy instead.

I was running late for lunch so I decided to try again another day and headed down to meet up with Windelynn, Durka, and MIBAgentQ. Durka and MIBAgentQ were late. Very late. By the time they arrived, I had gone through most of my lunch. (I ended up getting an extremely large dish of noodles.) Lunch was good, but we didn't stick around for long since Windelynn had to work, and I had to meet up with Squishy. (Durka and MIBAgentQ had some shopping to do.)

I was fortunate that I had rescheduled the drink as traffic was horrible. I got home and decided to ride because it would be slightly faster for me to get down, and parking would not be a problem. (I think Squishy thinks that it was a little too dangerous.)

But I got downtown in one piece and relatively quickly. We had a nice chat and she gave me some cookies! I had to eat them all since I didn't have any place to put them on my bike. Tasty!

I still had the poker thing to host so I headed back uptown. These little drinks are much too short!

I got back with plenty of time to spare so I did some last minute cleaning. I got a call from CY and let him in only to find out that he was with KT! Next was EN and he showed up with GWG. I guess trouble shows up in pairs?

Laz was the last one to arrive, but we had only just begun. Werdna was sick and MB didn't show up (he was a maybe anyway) so we had a good six people in our game. We went through one round pretty quickly, with CY taking the pot. The second round kept going, and going, and going. People refused to drop. KT eventually won. (He took my money even though I had him covered! *shakes fist*)

It was good though, fun and merriment for all.
