I finally went to pick up a copy of Neverwinter Nights 2. I ordered it on line and went to pick it up so that there would be no issues this time. I was fortunate enough to take a closer look at the box and feel it's weight because I asked the guy if this was the DVD-ROM version of the game.
It was not.
While he went to pick up a DVD-ROM version, I took a look at the order form and it explicitly stated that I had ordered the DVD-ROM version (which was on sale). I could have gotten a CD-ROM version of the game for cheap I guess, but what would I have done with it?
I had no problem installing the game and was up and running fairly quickly. The game is quite a resource hog though! My system certainly seemed to be working hard to get the game running. Maybe some fine tuning is required.
