[2:47 PM EDT - I just wanted a quote..]

I checked out my insurance site's website and noticed that their quoting page didn't seem to handle motorcycles, so I decided to call in for a quote instead. I didn't think it would take very long. As always, I was wrong again.

The beginning was pretty good. I was able to find a representative quickly (probably because nobody calls during business hours). So I inquired about motorcycle insurance and apparently they do supply it. The two models I quoted (the SV650S and GS500F) weren't on their exemption list so it was just a matter of answering a few questions before they sent me a quote.

Well, after several minutes of questions, the guy said that there wasn't a GS500F in the system, but there was a GS500E. So I was put on hold while he looked it up. Eventually he came back to tell me that they were looking into the discrepancy. (Apparently the GS500F is the same as the GS500E but with full fairings.)

Anyway, we continued talking, and I mentioned that I was moving soon. Then he started asking me questions on where I was moving to, the contents of the condo, and other questions about the building and facilities. He figured that I might as well get this done with now so I wouldn't have to worry about it later. So, another fifteen minutes pass before I get back to another question which I wanted to ask about my credit from before. So he put me on hold for five more minutes to check with his supervisor. He checked in to tell me that it will take more time to look into it and asked if I would hold for another five minutes.

So a five minutes later, he comes back and tells me that they'll look into it and contact me when things are concluded. Okay.

At least the good news is that with the move, and the discount, I'd actually be paying less for my car and home insurance than I was paying for just my car insurance! Yay! Now if only the motorcycle insurance was going to be cheap..

[6:12 PM EDT - Just one phone call.]

Hmm, I got a call from my lawyer, and this lead to a string of calls I ended up making all related to the first one. I called the assistant to give her my information, who told me to call the realtor, whom I called and was told to call the inspector, then back to the realtor, then back to the inspector, and then finally the building sellers. Phew! I still have to get copies of the agreement down to the lawyer's office when I have the chance, but I think most of the paperwork is now being processed?

[Wednesday, June 1, 2005: Climbing again.]

Derelict, 2046-LM, JY and his girlfriend came out to go rock climbing after work. The place was empty (as it was last time), but what was different was the fact that it closed at nine this time (it was open until ten last time, although we got kicked out early).

We also had an extra mouth for wings afterward, although we did order an extra set of wings for her. She did quite well actually, but we still ended up with more wings to finish than last time. The garlic cheese bread wasn't that great, but the feta bruschetta was really good!
