[4:07 PM EDT - Getting some chores.]

Wow, I went through the inspection and was barraged with a lot of information. In addition to taking a look at the unit, parking spot, and locker, I was told about a lot of things I had to do in the suite that I was was responsible for. Let's see if I can remember them:

  1. Use high efficiency detergent for the washer. Lest the suds come up under someone else's toilet.
  2. Use high efficiency dishwasher detergent in the dishwasher.
  3. Clean out the dryer's lint trap every time, and clean out the main lint trap (the door is on the ceiling) once every three months.
  4. Flush the toilet for a little longer since it has a narrow bowl. (Or double flush.)
  5. Always check the circuit breaker if there is no power. Switch to off for ten seconds before turning it on.
  6. Clean out the heat pump's filter once every three months.
  7. There are two switches on the heat pump. The black switch changes the fan's speed.
  8. The white switch on the heat pump is a reset switch. If there is no reading on the thermostat, turn off for fifteen minutes, check the breaker, and then turn it on and wait fifteen minutes.
  9. The cable box is in the coat closet behind a panel on the side.
  10. Phone lines can be set up outside of the suite.
  11. Try out all of the appliances within the first week.
  12. There is a form to fill for any missing or continuing issues after 30 days. You can fill it only once, but you cannot be late.
  13. There is another year end form I can fill after one year.
  14. Do not use water on the hardwood floor. Use the proper hardwood floor cleaners.
  15. Make sure that all objects on the hardwood floor are padded, as the wood is soft.
  16. In addition, don't have any women in stilettos on the hardwood.
  17. Do not change the light fixtures yourself, hire a qualified electrician.
  18. Consider getting a plastic spatula for cleaning paint/marks off the hardwood floor.
  19. The main water shutoff valves are in the washroom. You need to use a key to turn them off.
  20. There is a button in the bedroom to shut off the fire alarm within the suite. If the alarm doesn't go off, then it's not a drill.
  21. There is a smoke detector in the living room, and a heat detector in the kitchen.
  22. There is a fire alarm in the bedroom, and an alarm in the living room. Instructions will be sent through them if there is an emergency.
  23. I'll need to get my own lock for the locker. (It's about 6'x3'x6'.)
  24. I'll need to stick the warranty sticker in the circuit breaker.
  25. The gate will only open long enough for one car. If I try to go through and break it, I'll have to pay for it.
  26. Even if the gate is stuck up, I should swipe my card to make sure that it stays up.

I think that's it.

[8:22 PM EDT - I saw a pink cat..]

I deposited my expense cheque and went to pick up some yogurt when I saw KC leaving the grocery store! I called out her name, but she didn't look up. Maybe I was wrong?

[8:28 PM EDT - I've got mail!]

Whoa, I just had a whole stash of stuff show up today. One was from TUC with my new jersey, card, disc (which I didn't expect), and other stuff in a Pizza Pizza (one of their sponsors) box no less.

Next was a large envelope from my insurance company with my motorcycle quote, new car insurance policy (since I'm moving), and new home insurance policy. Oh boy, there's so much to read!

In addition, I got my new driver's license using the photo they took of me when I wrote my M1. Man, had I known, I would've at least done something with my hair..

Finally, there was a letter for a La-Z-Boy sale this week. I think I'll be going shopping no?

[8:46 PM EDT - Who wants to yuk it up?]

I ended up getting a few tickets for Yuk Yuks for cheap. Anyone want to go? The tickets are only valid for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday nights.

[8:47 PM EDT - Rebooted.]

I went by the reBOOT centre and dropped off my old machines. It was fairly painless and the people there were very friendly. I may have another machine to get rid of later, but right now, I think I'm good.

[10:53 PM EDT - It's all in the wrist.]

I had trouble in badminton today. It wasn't because there were so few people there (eight), nor was it because I didn't play all that well (which I didn't). It was because my wrist hurt. It's been bothering me for a few weeks now, ever since I cleaned out my room. The reason is pretty simple. The ergonomics of my home computer setup suck. I was told not to set up my machine in my room, so I was left to use whatever space was in the computer room, which is pretty much minimal. I'm far away from the monitor, and I don't have a desk. The mouse is on a little stand that's too low and I don't have enough space to rest my wrist. That has probably lead to my sore wrist.

Man, years of making sure that my wrist was properly supported gone in a couple of weeks. Oh, and the keyboard's in my lap too. I hope I don't lose any mobility..
