[12:17 AM EDT - Disks done!]

I've gone through my collection of disks and copied everything that I wanted to copy off the disks. I selected five to keep (just in case I need a boot disk or something similar) and the rest I'm keeping here.

It sure does lighten my load quite a bit!

I also went through a box that I had downstairs with a bunch of stuff I kept from my days as a grad student. Most of the contents were old physics/chemistry magazines which didn't really appeal to me, so I got rid of them, as well as the booklets from various conferences. I also threw out the first year lab booklets so I basically got rid of yet another box of stuff. (This time a very heavy box - those magazines, reports, and booklets are dense!)

[12:19 AM EDT - No real plans.]

I don't really have plans for Victoria Day, but that's okay. I could take the time to relax, or catch up on yet other stuff I should be doing. Most likely, I'll be going through my stuff looking for more items to throw out or leave behind..

[11:46 AM EDT - Going through the tapes.]

Hmm, it seems as if I don't want most of this stuff I've got on my tapes. There are basically no personal tapes in my collection. I don't know where they went. (I may have overwritten them.)

In any case, I'm down to one more tape to go through. This one has a dance mix girl put together over a decade ago. (Man these songs are old.)

[3:18 PM EDT - Even with the power of the Internet..]

Man, finding out what the names and artists of these songs is difficult. Most of the songs are from 1991, but not all have easy references which I can use to track them down on Google. Anyway, while I was looking for some lyrics (for those songs which actually had some) I came across this suicide site.

[3:31 PM EDT - Imagine doing this for two dozen tapes?]

I'm so glad that I labelled most of my other tapes. This one was a pain to figure out. I'm going to take a break now that I've gone through the tape once, but there are a number of songs on here that I couldn't find the names for. It's a freestyle mix so it shouldn't be that hard to track down right?

A Side

  1. Together Forever - Lissette Melendez (1991) *missing part of first verse*
  2. Funk Boutique - Cover Girls (1991)
  3. Now and Forever - Nyasia (1991)
  4. I'll Be All You Ever Need - Trinere (1986)
  5. No More Alibis (I can see the truth in your eyes)(?)
  6. Spice - EON (1991)
  7. Get Up and Party(?) - DJ Bobo(?)
  8. Crazy - Daisy Dee (1991)
  9. Body Language Body Heat(?)
  10. Give a Little More(?) *introduction only*
  11. **Losing My Heart Over You - April (1991)
  12. **Without Your Love(?)
  13. **Then Came You - TPE (1991)
  14. **(Electronically distorted words) *introduction only*
  15. Falling Slowly - Shana (1989) *last verse*
  16. Hide & Seek - Pajama Party (1991) *second verse only*

**I believe that these four songs were dubbed over the original mix.

B Side

  1. Gypsy Woman (She's Homeless) - Crystal Waters (1991)
  2. Hey DJ/I Can't Dance (To That Music You're Playing) - Beatmasters featuring Betty Boo (1989)
  3. How To Dance - Bingoboys (1991)
  4. Save Some Love - Keedy (1991)
  5. Together Forever - Lissette Melendez (1991)
  6. Temptation - Corina (1991)

[4:40 PM EDT - No power.]

Uh oh. My dad's computer won't turn on. It seems as if the power supply may have gone. This really sucks. To counteract any future headaches once I leave the house, I ordered one of those three hundred dollar Dell machines so that he would have a new system (and one year service) so that I won't have to worry about tech support once I move out. Besides, I may be able to salvage some parts from that machine if I can't find another power supply (unless it's the motherboard).

[4:56 PM EDT - I sell by the foot.]

Ah, just while I was doing a search for all those songs, I decided to look for that song that OC liked so much when we visited him so long ago.

Anyway, it was "Bitch Better Have My Money" by AMG.

[10:08 PM EDT - Maps down.]

I've gone through my maps and took out half of them which I didn't think I'd ever use. The rest I kept either for the car (which is a much better place to have them than my room) or for historical purposes. It's amazing how much things change over time..

[10:13 PM EDT - Still more pruning to do.]

I still have some stuff I need to clean out. Namely the photos. I've got a box of photos which I didn't include in my photo albums and I've always wondered why I kept them. Well, I'll be going through them sometime this week and hopefully I'll be able to get that cleaned up.

All in all, I've gotten rid of another box of stuff today, and I'll be leaving my computer boxes here since I only need them to hold more boxes, or some manuals/parts. The old clothes will stay here as well. All the stuff I'm leaving behind will take up some space in the closet, and that should be about it.

Oh shoot. The trophies and stuff. Now THAT will take up too much space..

[10:24 PM EDT - It happens at home too.]

I was drinking some paste just now. Every now and then, something would get caught on my teeth or I'd feel something on my tongue. But I would swallow it thinking that it was some sort of skin. After a few, I was curious as to why there would be so many seed skins so I pulled one out to examine it. It was clear, and looked like plastic (about ten square millimetres in size). Since it reminded me of the bread I ate before, I decided to throw it in the sink. I took the next piece of skin out. It was blue. It was also paper. My next mouth full of paste had three more foreign substances that I could find and soon I was spitting out multiple pieces with each swallow.

I don't feel so good.
