HKL came by to drop off a couple of hard drives for me to play with. I'll probably use them in my secondary machine and turn it into something that's actually semi-useful. Unfortunately they got dropped so I'll have to make sure that they work. In addition, I'll have to find a way to copy the old hard drive onto one of these fellas. I don't want to go around reinstalling the entire operating system when I'm only changing the hard drive..
SS, CC and I went shopping for bikes and bike accessories. Well, we were looking for helmets actually. Most of the motorcycle stores were on the west end unfortunately, which meant that we had to spend time commuting out there before we could take a look around at the stuff that was available. After we checked with the first store, we found out that we could rent a helmet for twenty-five bucks. Twenty-five dollars isn't all that bad, and that will give us plenty of time to shop for a helmet (or wait for a better deal). In addition, we got to take a look at some more bikes. SS has his eyes on a Suzuki GS500F. While I checked out Windelynn's recommendation of the Suzuki SV650S. I hope the insurance won't be too high (apparently it's very low for the GS500F).

I went to hockey this morning and got there, more or less on time. The ice was good, but there weren't too many people because it was a fun game. We had a two hour session so by the time noon rolled around, very few of us were still moving around. Nobody kicked us off the ice though, so we played an extra fifteen minutes, but nobody was moving after that, so we left the ice.
A bunch of us went out for lunch afterward. We were planning to go out for some wings at AllStar Wings and Ribs, but when we got there, we found out that the place doesn't open on Saturdays until four PM! Argh!
So instead, we went to the Restoran Malaysia. I have been there before, and the food's always good, although the biggest problem is that it's always busy. Especially when you have a large group like us (there were nine of us), finding seating might be a little difficult. We were lucky though and didn't have to wait too long.

Three suggestions:
1) All the major hard drive companies have a utility that helps you move all the date from your old drive to your new drive. Maxtor's is called MaxBlast.
2) Use Norton Ghost if you have it.
3) Use a Floppy or CD bootable version of Linux that supports NTFS -- mount the drives and then copy the data over.
