So I've got a temporary set up right now for all my computer stuff. The next project is to go through all these old computers and see what's salvageable. I'm not moving them to my new place.

Ugh. Ever since I got rid of that air filter and cleaned out the room, my allergies have gone crazy. I've been sneezing all day and my nose has started to run. My eyes are irritated, and even with the new carpet, I'm still not adjusting well. I guess there's still tons of dust in the air right now. We'll definitely have to clear it out at some point in time..

So the new carpet's in. They chose a lighter colour than before, so the rooms look slightly brighter. There's also that new carpet smell in the house, which I used to associate with model houses or new houses. I wonder if it's carcinogenic?

I got up this morning when my dad came into my room telling me that the power was out. This meant two things: The alarm didn't go off and my server was down.
Well, this made it easier to take it apart since I didn't have to go through the shutdown sequence, although I would've preferred a clean shutdown..
Taking a shower in the dark proved interesting as well, although once my eyes adjusted to the dark (I left the door open a crack), I was able to get cleaned up without bumping into the wall too often.
When I finally got out of the house, I noticed that the traffic lights were out at the intersection. So I guess it wasn't just our immediate neighbourhood. I believe our block was affected as well as an adjacent block.
I guess I got a fair bit of work done since I didn't have access to the server, but things around me just didn't seem to work. The ATM I went to to deposit my cheque was out of order and some of the computers I tested after work didn't function. Ah well.
After work, I played basketball with a couple of the guys from work. I played just as badly as last time.
