[11:59 PM EDT - Firing up the GT-S.]

I took the GT-S out for a drive around the block to see if it was still okay. The battery seemed fine, as did the car. So I guess I'm open to letting people learn standard on it if anyone wants!

[Sunday, May 22, 2005: Hockey Cycle.]

I got to the rink early today so that I could practise my puck control and skating. Let's just say that I need a lot more practise. Our game was pretty lopsided. Ten minutes into the game, we had a big lead, and twenty minutes in, it was obvious that we'd win the game. That left another hour of play to go through. Good grief!

The highlight was when KS, who was hanging back at our blue line, ignored our taunts and offers of water, stole the puck of LC on his rush, went coast to coast, and buried the puck.

Afterward, SS, CC, and I went out to lunch and I invited Windelynn out so that we could have a motorcycle information session. (I think I woke up Windelynn but whatever.) She actually came up to eat with us, and I realized how hard it was to hear on one of those helmet communication sets. I may hold off on buying one.

Anyway, after talking bikes and seeing Windelynn's bike, SS and I went to do our M1 test (after sitting around for half an hour trying to convince CC to come with us).

The place was fairly empty, and we were serviced pretty quickly. The girl behind the counter was really cute. I chatted with her a bit and found out that she was twenty-three. That not that young..

Of course, there was I, who was wearing the same shirt I was using to play hockey in (I forgot to bring a change), didn't shower, hadn't shaved, and had ball cap hair. I also found out that I had to take another picture (without the cap)! Oh crap!

Well, driver's license photos aren't supposed to look good anyway right?

So I took the test, and it went by fairly quickly. By the time I had finished, the place had filled up with people! There were over a dozen people writing the test or doing the test electronically. I had a few questions wrong because I didn't think my common sense answer was correct (although it was correct), but I still passed. Apparently very few people passed from what SS saw.

Afterward, I went home, got cleaned up, and went to JW's BBQ party. There were fewer people there than I had expected, but it was all good. There were tons of stories being told by the older generation. Host making fun of the kids in our generation.

Oh, and there was talk about how my grandmother has photographic memory. That might be why she remembered that girl at dinner.. although I still can't believe she said that!
