[9:51 AM EDT - Caveat Lector: Yet another hoax.]

Yah. I got another hoax e-mail thing this morning. TT passed along another one of those Microsoft money giveaway e-mails which I promptly removed from my inbox.

[10:25 AM EDT - Give me a Hi5!]

I got a response from RY asking me to join Hi5.

[10:37 AM EDT - I thought spring wasn't supposed to be busy?]

Hmm, I've been invited out to a stag party (my first really), and a poker thing, and motorcycle lessons. Hmm, where are my weekends going?

I still have to finish going through those computers that I've got, but it doesn't seem like I can use much from any of them, unless some of those RAM chips aren't what they seem (although it'll be a pain to get them out). Ah well, I should have some time to finish that up..

[1:05 PM EDT - Home equity.]

Oh, the type of mortgage I'm getting is a Home Equity Line of Credit. Just in case I forget.

[1:13 PM EDT - Sorry Google.]

The strangest thing happened yesterday while I was searching on Google. A message came up after I tried to look up something. It read:

We're sorry...

... but we can't process your request right now. A computer virus or spyware application is sending us automated requests, and it appears that your computer or network has been infected.

We'll restore your access as quickly as possible, so try again soon. In the meantime, you might want to run a virus checker or spyware remover to make sure that your computer is free of viruses and other spurious software.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope we'll see you again on Google.

Whoa. But you could get past this message if you correctly answered their skill testing question. It would suck if you were blind though.

It's working today so I don't know what the problem was..

[8:43 PM EDT - More RAM.]

Hmm, I found a couple of 32MB EDO RAM sticks in one of the machines. Time for an upgrade I guess?

[9:10 PM EDT - Another 32MB.]

Yum, my server is now maxed out at 128MB of RAM. I found out that the 16MB sticks I was using were the same ones as those in the machine I pilfered the 32MB RAM from! Small world.

Anyway, I'll update the hardware specs and clean up this mess. I think I'll be donating the rest of this stuff to charity since I couldn't seem to get most of these machines working. I'll keep a few spare parts, but rid of everything else. (Sure as heck don't want to move them into the condo with me..)

Heck, I don't think I even need to bring the 15" with me since I've got the KV switch. I'll keep it here anyway just in case..

[10:20 PM EDT - Packed and parcelled.]

Man, I can barely keep my eyes open! Anyway, I'm basically finished with cleaning up this mess I've got up here. Almost everything is packed up and ready for transport. I think I have more than enough parts to keep me safe for a little while. Actually.. no. I'm getting rid of most of my graphics cards, so I hope I don't have to replace any of them. *crosses fingers*

If I can drop these parts off in the next week or so, that will make my life so much easier when I move. I'll have to find if there's anything else I can get rid of from my pile..
