I got up early for the game and arrived at the rink when I was told to. I was specifically told to show up at ten since I showed up late last week (although it didn't matter since the rink wasn't open). I was the first one there, and the rink wasn't open. I had forty minutes to stretch and change, which was more than enough for both. It might have made a difference since I played a lot better today than usual. Maybe the stretching helped?
On the way up, I think I got cut off by some really tiny car. What interested me was the license place on the car. It was a temporary license plate from Nebraska. (Or one of those other states.)
Afterward, I went to get some ice cream and then went home to get cleaned up. I ended up going to the condo (but had to come back home to pick up the ice cream) with the rest of the stuff I was planning to put into the locker. The parental units came along to check the place out as well. I went straight to the party after that (although I had to go back to the condo because I forgot the ice cream).
I arrived in time for snacks and a lot of socializing. There was tons of food, and I found a recipe for the Swedish meatballs that they were serving. The meatballs were from no frills, and the sauces they used were a combination of Diana's BBQ, honey garlic, and one more sauce. It was really yummy!
I got a call about watching a movie (Batman Begins) but I was far away, I was really full (stuffed would be a better word) and I didn't feel like leaving. It was all good though, I ended up taking some ice cream home and a chocolate pie!
