[1:21 AM EDT - Better, but not good enough.]
I played better hockey today. I guess it was because I was playing more aggressively and wasn't as lackadaisical as I normally am. That one extra step, that one extra push, that extra oomph can make such a big difference when you're playing a heated game.
The question is: Can I keep this up for six days of the week?

[11:58 AM EDT - Speed test.]
I just checked my speed, and it seems as if I'm getting a dl/ul speed of 680/155 which is much lower than th 3Mbps speeds I'm supposed to get..

[10:37 PM EDT - Optimal grocking.]
I went out to dim sum with Dangerman, girl, Growly, Laz, and Tenshi. The food was okay, and fairly cheap. Afterward, we decided to head up to Laz's place, but I stopped off at a Shopper's Drug Mart to pick up an Optimum card. I figured I might as well since I shop there every now and then. Might as well pick up points while I'm at it (I've been asked by the cashiers if I wanted one before - years ago - but never considered it until I realized how much money I could be saving).

After a dim sum lunch , girl, Dangerman, Laz, Tenshi, Growly and I were trying to figure out what to do for the rest of the day. Laz had brought his camera and decided to take a picture of our feet while we were discussing our options.
Clockwise from the twelve o'clock position: Tenshi, Growly, girl, Laz, Dangerman, and me.
Anyway, the process was painless. I handed in the signup form and picked up the card. That was it. On the way back to the car, I was accosted by some kid who came up to me to ask me if I wanted to buy chocolate to support some students from his school. I asked him how much these chocolates were, and he said,
"Very expensive!"
Which was no joke. At two bucks for a chocolate bar and four for chocolate covered almonds, it was basically highway robbery!
I bought the chocolate almonds.
When I got to Laz's place, we went out to throw the disc around for a while before heading back to the house to play some Halo. Afterward, we went out to dinner and that's where I saw "Grocking" in the menu. It's defined as.. I forgot the definition unfortunately.
Anyway, it was something like: Waiting at a table for people to finish eating so that they can eat the leftovers. Which is something I do quite often actually. What a leech!
After dinner, the plan was to go to my place to play some X-box. Something that struck me when they came over was Growly's comment when he went into the basement. He told me that he could smell a lot of naphthalene (enough to him feel woozy). I personally couldn't smell it, but I live here.
It reminded me of an incident in grade six or seven, when Stonaday had this strange idea to go and smell people to find out what they've been eating. When he came up to me and sniffed my coat, the only thing he said was:
"Mothballs."
That struck me as strange at the time, but now..
Even more incentive not to invite any girls over until I get my own place..

[Monday, May 31, 2004: Missing a drink.]
Oops. I had forgotten something. After we threw the disc around for a bit, we headed down to the mall for a drink before heading back to Laz's place to play Halo. There was this table tennis tournament going on in the mall and I watched as they deftly kept the ball bouncing back and forth despite the crazy positions, speeds and spins that were being thrown back and forth.
