I did try hard to make it down to the practice field at a respectable time this morning despite the fact that I had to wake up early to get down there. I was still late though, but I got there just in time for the scrimmage. We had a lot of people show up this time, which was good. ZanZan showed up in jeans, and that made me proud to be a jean wearer!
Afterward, a good number of us went for brunch. I ended up getting a ride with ZanZan (who didn't know where it was). On the way there, I got a call on my cell. (Nobody ever calls me on my cell.) It was Squishy! That was pretty.. sudden. The timing could've been better because I was supposed to be giving directions to ZanZan lest we got lost! Fortunately I was able to arrange for a call after brunch and finished that call just in time to put us in the right direction!
The place was packed and it took us forever to get our food. There were thirteen of us, and ASH and GK were out checking out bikes in the neighborhood. We'd all cheer everytime GK passed by on another bike she was testing. (I wonder if that encouraged her final decision?) The food was good, and I got some extra stuff from LY (although I wasn't looking - the food appeared next to me, so I hungrilly snatched it up without asking any questions). But it did take a long time before our stuff showed up.
Afterward, I walked back to campus with BMH, PRQ, KW, and JW. They were passing the disc back and forth while heading to a party, and I stayed with them until I made it to the university. On the way, I got a call from Squishy and we decided on a meeting spot which (coincidentally enough) was right on the path I was taking.
I ended up going out for a walk and some cake with Squishy and got caught up with some stuff. Oh, and she gave me this little puzzle problem she picked up from the other side of the planet. I still have to figure it out..
I was invited out to the party that BMH and the rest were going to, but by the time I finished eating the cake, it was already late and I wanted to go home. Ah well..
