[8:34 AM EDT - Dream Sequence: Patrol hunt.]

The ending shocked me a little. I remembered that I was sitting in front of a computer doing some work for MR. I think it wss some last minute stuff since it looked like I was in the aisle of a grocery store. After a bit of work, he took off and I went to go and do some patrolling.

I was sitting in a cafeteria style restaurant thing. There were a number of other patrollers there keeping an eye on things (at least half a dozen of us that I could see). Each of us were wearing these yellow pennies to denote that we were a patroller.

There was some sort of incident with one of the patrollers, so a couple of us set out to go after him. I hopped onto my hover bike (very much like the hover bikes in "Return of the Jedi") and went to chase after him. There were three of us after this one guy, but he kept eluding us. It was nighttime and difficult to spot anything so I decided to spring a trap. I pulled into a small parking lot and shut down the bike, hoping to pounce on him when he passed. There was only one person (on a motorcycle) who passed by but the patroller was nowhere to be found. I saw more patrollers on bikes flying around looking for this renegade, but it didn't seem to be making much of a difference. I decided to head back to the chalet as I had been away for a while. When I got back, I noticed that everything was at a standstill and no patrollers were around. The workers were standing guard and nobody was doing any service. So I got into position and things started gearing up again.

I waited for a couple of minutes until I saw more patrollers trickle in to take their positions. I guess there was a call put out to recall us from the hunt. Most came back without comment, but one came to the entrance, took off his penny, and threw it on the ground before leaving.

The last one came in and announced that the cops had nabbed the fugative. Apparently they were tuned in to the camera system that the natives had installed in the casino area and was able to capture him. Now why didn't we think of that before?

I went to sit down next to a couple of monitors that showed parts of the casino and noticed two girls who had climbed into two of the tables. Both were dancing and.. wait.. more than dancing..

As I was staring, the girl next to me asked me if she could do what those girls were doing. So I told her,

"Do as you wish."

Then I woke up.

[9:02 AM EDT - News Bytes: Sleepy?]

I was trolling on the ShackNews and came across an article to determine when you're most tired. I haven't tried it yet though. I also found this article on sibling order as interesting as the one on the number of cheating spouses.

[9:26 AM EDT - Still no updates.]

Hmm, I was trolling around a bit looking for a server for OS updates, and noticed that a couple of places were either down, or the updates they had were last updated last year! More incentive to change OSes huh?

[2:04 PM EDT - Slight upgrade.]

I've upgraded Knossos slightly. I've added a bit more memory and swapped in a slightly larger hard drive. I debated whether or not to upgrade the CD-ROM but I don't actually use the CD-ROM on that machine so I didn't think I needed to make that change. Hopefully the performance will improve a bit, but I haven't noticed much of a difference yet.

I think I fried the motherboard on Anyang though. Dropping the CD-ROM onto the mainboard probably wasn't very good for it. It won't spit anything out to the monitor anymore despite all of my coaxing. We've had problems with that machine for a while now, so I don't think it's worth trying to get it fixed. It'll be cheaper to just buy a new computer. (Or buy an old one at that.)

[9:37 PM EDT - Maybe if I turned it on it would've been more useful..]

Whoops. I forgot to turn on my cell phone. I guess that would be one reason why I didn't get any calls while I was out. The other (more obvious) reason is because nobody ever calls me (which is good).

I just got back from KW's place where I got around to fixing his computer problems. It seems as if a number of his services weren't running and some of his settings didn't seem right. I reinstalled the OS on top of what he had and it seems like it's doing much better now.

Of course, I ended up wasting the entire day doing that. Hopefully I'll be able to get work done tomorrow..
