[11:14 AM EDT - Shirt back.]

There were two things I decided not to mention last night. The first was the fact that I saw someone at the bowling alley who was wearing a Ride for Heart t-shirt. The second was the fact that I had some lower back pain last night. Sucky.

[3:54 PM EDT - Van cutoff.]

On the way to work today, I noticed something in my rear view mirror. I was passing a convoy of vehicles, stuck behind a very slow truck. There was a large transport trailer behind me, but was keeping his distance. After I had passed by this white van on my right, it pulls out behind me to escape the convoy. In so doing, it cut off the truck behind me, who honked his horn in protest. I continued to watch the events unfold as the van driver, instead of speeding up to pass the convoy, slowed down with the truck right on it's tail! I thought that guy was nuts, and concluded that hanging around this area was probably not going to be good for my health. Fortunately, more cars came in between the quickly widing gap between the van and I, so I'm not sure if they ever resolved their differences. (At last glance looked like a foot.)

[5:30 PM EDT - Curious math.]

Laz asked me to pick a three digit number, and then write the three digit number again making a six digit number. Then he told me to,

"Divide by seven."

So I divided by seven. *blink* It's divisible by seven! Then he said,

"Divide by eleven."

What the.. hold the presses! How does this work? I did a bit of math, and realized what the trick was. The next number that you can use to divide your number by is thirteen. Quite a neat trick. Laz found CuriousMath.com.

There are others on that site, but they're all little math tricks. Something you can give to your kids to figure out. (Or adults acting like kids.)
