[9:18 AM EDT - Mr. Forgetful.]

I am indeed a forgetful person. I've forgotten more than I'll ever remember (although that's probably the same for all of us). Yes, I forgot my lunch today. Again.

I also forgot the notes I took last week (again) and then I forgot to copy the pictures over. I also forgot most of my dream this morning.

Geez, maybe I need an adjunct. (Or have digital storage grafted on to my brain.)

[9:31 AM EDT - Dream Sequence: Finding a room.]

I found myself in a dry dirt field in what I thought was part of Mexico with a bunch of kids playing some game. There was a large schoolbus in the field and I was trying to talk to this one (cute) girl. I can't remember what she looked like, and I'm not sure if I knew her from somewhere else, but after sitting with her for a while, I found that I was in one of the rooms of my old high school. We got to talking and started walking around looking for a room. We found ourselves going into the cafeteria but it was busy, and then we went into the tech wing, but the room was occupied. I then thought of going to the geography classroom but my alarm went off.

[9:36 AM EDT - Web attack?]

Strange, Microsoft, Yahoo, and Google are down.. then again, maybe it's just us? Microsoft is being redirected..

Whoa, it's all back now. Strange.

[9:44 AM EDT - Akamai?]

I found something on the ShackNews from ashkie about these web issues:

"ATTN INTERNET FRIENDS. Companies using Akamai for DNS seem to be having problems resolving. This will mean downtimes for Yahoo, Google, MSN, Apple and scads of other hosts. If you can't get to any websites, then thats why. If you remember the IPs for the hosts, you can get to them fine."

So that may explain things.

[2:21 PM EDT - I'd call it a break.]

After Wednesday, there wan't be any more badminton until next month. Hopefully that will give me time to recuperate and catch up huh? (Actually, I'm not doing so bad right now - but all of those projects I've been working on are on hold.)

Oh yeah, BL and SL came by the office today. SL recognized MCC and even remembered what she liked eating. Pretty scary..

[9:01 PM EDT - Apparently I got a haiku plug.]

Geez, I write a few haikus and PRQ calls me a poet!

[Wednesday, June 16, 2004: Meeting dinner.]

Some clients had come over for a meeting at the office this afternoon. The plan was to go over some changes in a part of the program. The meeting went a lot longer than anticipated (although all meetings do I guess) and SC invited them out to dinner. I was also invited out to dinner along with LR and SM.

SM was a very strange addition to the group as she had nothing to do with the clients, and just happened to be around. Of course, there might be other reasons..

The drive to the restaurant was fairly uneventful, although it was a little envirnmentally unfriendly as the seven of us took six cars to drive to the restaurant. For most of us, it was on the way home so..

After we had sat down, I heard a voice behind me ask,

"Is that [QYV]?"

So I turned around, and found out that it was the S's! (I found out later that it was KS's birthday.)

Dinner was pretty good. SM talked so much! (Much like Pokey.) She had a lot of those "We should go out and do this/that.." musings.

On the way home (apart from being hounded by SM's Accord, I accellerated very quickly down the street right past a cop! Fortunately, he turned into a parking lot instead of turning to stop me. *wipes brow* The reason for his appearance was clear as I made it to the stop light.

There was some sort of altercation at the gas station as there were a lot of police cruisers and a fire truck. The entire station was cordoned off, but I couldn't see what had happened. I couldn't even guess.
