Well, I've got ultimate today. Then people are planning to go down to Centre Island to watch the dragonboat races and play some disc golf. So it'll be pretty busy..

I was driving down the highway on my way home and saw traffic slowing down in front of me. So I hit the brakes. What surprised me was the fact that traffic didn't slow down, it had stopped! I was able to hit on my brakes hard enough to stop without locking them. Unfortunately for the guy next to me, s/he ended up slamming on the brakes so hard on that minivan that it left streaks three car lengths long and a cloud of vapourized rubber large enough to cover the area. Oh yeah, the minivan missed the car ahead by inches.
My gut reaction was that something bad had happened just then, and I was right: There was an accident. It didn't look so bad though. One car's corner was smushed up, but nobody looked hurt, so I went ahead. The only problem was that it had happened in the passing lane, and that's a very dangerous place to stop whether you want to or not!

Finally! After two hours of battling the Mongoose, I've finally finished XIII. It's an entertaining game actually, although not revolutionary. At least I can take it off of my system now.

I was trying to view this drift bible video but I got a missing codec error. Apparently the 2000 tag means that I'm missing the AC3 codec.

The plan was to go to ultimate practice, eat lunch, and then head down to Centre Island. I actually made it down to the field early. The practice went well, although I wasn't feeling all too hot (something I ate I guess) and my knee was still bothering me. But it was all good. Afterward, LY, Pokey, J, Derelict, SM, and M went out for lunch. Again, I think something didn't agree with my stomach, so I decided to head home instead of going to watch the Dragonboat races. On the way back, I found out that SM was part of the MS youth group that I volunteered for for a couple of years! Craziness! I'll have to ask JK if he remembered her. (Since I think he was the only one around when she was - I was already long gone.)
Afterward, I went home to play XIII. And that was my day.
