[8:35 AM EDT - It happened again.]

I was eating some sweet toast and noticed something dark inside. I normally eat while reading the paper so I usually don't look at the food I'm ingesting, but I do glance over on occasion to make sure that I'm not chewing on my hand. This dark substance looked like some sort of fungus or mold, but the strange part was that it was inside the bread!

First it was the strange piece of plastic. Now this? Eww..

[8:41 AM EDT - Dream Sequence: Second tier.]

I remember one part of this morning's dream quite vividly. Actually, no. It felt vivid, but I really don't remember it all too well. It involved some sort of ski patrol vote, and I had knowingly spoiled my ballot. After the first tally, it was basically a tie between the first two candidates, and there was a recount. At that point in time, one of the candidates (the one who I knew) asked me if I had voted for him and I was pressured into nodding in agreement. (It wasn't as if they could trace my vote right?)

[9:46 AM EDT - Breaking nails.]

Ouch. I'm breaking a lot of nails recently. Am I not getting enough calcium in my diet? A combination of playing more ultimate and weak nails may have something to do with it. It's really annoying though as my cracks and chips get caught on my clothes and take little chunks out (of the clothes and the nail). Eww..

[10:43 AM EDT - Port blocked?]

Strange. I can access my server via the web, but I can't seem to log in. This is very annoying. I would like to be able to check my e-mail..

[Friday, June 18, 2004: Ruth's Chris.]

The plan was to take the parental units out for dinner. They had originally chosen one restaurant but I suggested Ruth's Chris Steakhouse instead.

Unfortunately, the restaurant was pretty far away so I was volunteered to drive. The drive itself wasn't so bad, but I had followed the first directions on the website, and it told me to follow one path. Little did I know that had I looked at the map, I would've been able to take a much faster route!

On the way down, I noticed how cheap gas was (around 70 cents instead of 75 cents) so I was thinking of filling up on the way back home as I didn't have time to fill up then.

We arrived a little late, which was okay since the restaurant wasn't that busy. The food there is very expensive. VERY expensive. I wanted to get a dish where you had to raise your napkin up so that you don't get sprayed by the butter, but no such thing happened here. I'll have to ask TT or LY about it later.

The food was pretty good. But I can't really afford to eat out like this more than once a year. The way back was fairly uneventful. I decided to fill up after we got near our house, so I got on the highway, and drove through the rain. They were getting ready to close the express lanes but I made it by the truck and was able to use the highway before it was closed.

When I got back to our neighborhood, I took a look at the gas prices: 79.5 cents. Crap.
