[9:58 AM EST - This is my weekend.]

Hmm, my Thursdays and Fridays seem to be the least busy days of my week, which basically makes them "weekends" form me. (It's funny how the weekend is actually more busy than the week!)

We'll see how quickly this week goes by. I think things settle down a bit next week.

[12:11 PM EST - Change of plans.]

Oops, well I wasn't expecting things to go my way, but hmm..

Hey, plans are meant to be changed right?

[12:33 PM EST - Aselin Debison.]

Frick. It took me some time to find out who sang that version of "The Gift" that I heard last year. (Heck, it took me all night to find out the name of the song from the scraps of information that I had at my disposal: church, bird, cage, song.)

A little bit of help from Squishy (who thought it was Charlotte Church) and a quick search got me to this page and the answer.

Hmm.. they do look similar. But man, they're both so young!

[1:19 PM EST - I found it!]

Yup, this was the song I was looking for. Boy does she sound young.

[4:02 PM EST - Maybe it's just her. Or is it me?]

Well, I had a long period of time where my transmission was smooth as silk, but just recently, I've started feeling that clunky feeling again. Hmm, it might have something to do with temperature since things do get better when the car warms up.

Also, this biff thing is stumping me. First of all, I don't have biff installed on my system (so what's giving me those "you have mail" messages?). Secondly there is only one person with whom the message doesn't work for. What's up with that?

[5:19 PM EST - I'm going to PINE no longer.]

I've removed the PINE mail folder from my account and I'm just using mutt from this point on. Things have been okay with mutt, so I think I'll be alright. I still have to go through all of those old saved messages and do some pruning, but I shouldn't have any problems with that.

[5:45 PM EST - Reading text.]

It's funny. I read a lot of e-mail. But I don't re-read a lot of it. I realize that my first impressions are not always correct when I read through a message the first time. Some jokes go over my head, or some subtle hints are easily missed. A message with a certain tone may sound different the next time it's read through. Text can be fairly subjective depending on the reader, and even depending on when the reader reads it.

I have a bad habit of reading too fast. It makes it easy to go through books because I can speed read and get the general ideas and main plot points of the story without needing to examine each word individually.

Hmm.

I think I'll try tonight.
