[10:11 AM EST - Where are all the cars?]

Hmm, I drove to work only a tad bit later than usual, but there was very little traffic on the streets! What's up with that?

[11:46 AM EST - Brown is valid.]

Apparently brown is a valid CSS3 predefined colour but not in CSS2.

[12:40 PM EST - Double sided.]

A question game up in a discussion as to why there are no double sided CDs so I did a quick Google search and found this page with some information.

[1:43 PM EST - Busier than planned.]

Oops, I had agreed to show up on the hill for a few hours on Saturday forgetting that the Bridal Show was that day.

Ah well, I think I can fit it in there somewhere..

[1:56 PM EST - I've got a fever..]

..and the only prescription, is poutine!

I've got this huge craving for poutine. Ever since the funeral, I wasn't able to satiate my appetite for this stuff. (I think Harvey's has halved the size of their poutine.)

But.. delayed gratification..

[10:51 PM EST - I really should go to bed..]

But there are a few things I need to fix up before I hit the sack. Ugh.

First of all, I had planned to go out tonight since I hadn't gone out to any of the patrol gettogethers since they moved bars. I've been either busy, or the weather didn't cooperate. In either case, I had resolved to go out and see how everyone was doing tonight.

So I wrote down the directions to the bar and took off. I filled up with gas and realized to my dismay that I had forgotten to bring the directions along with me! No worries, I decided to forge on ahead since I have complete faith in my navigating capabilities. As I headed down the highway, I looked for the intersection I was supposed to get off on. However, there was a lot of construction in the area and I didn't see my exit. I was getting near the end of the city when I realized that the original intersection in the directions may have been changed during construction since I saw that one of the street names was actually plastered over with a newer sign! So I quickly got off the highway and proceeded to look for the bar.

This was a pretty daunting task since the only information I had available was the name of the street (which was probably changed), and that it was in a strip mall near a McDonalds. Goody. I drove down one way until I reached the end of the city and turned around. Luckly for me, I noticed a McDonalds up ahead and drove into the lot. After driving around for several minutes (I turned the wrong way) I finally found the bar!

I was a little worried because the bar looked really dark, and there were no cars whatsoever around it. After I had parked (after I stalled the car because I was staring at the empty bar) I walked to the door and noticed a sign posted. Apparently the landlords had closed the bar down on the 2nd.

Goody. I noticed a number of messages taped on the door, but none were addressed to my group, so I decided to drive home and have dinner on the way.

Since I had a craving for pouting today, I decided to stop by Harvey's. I went to the one which was the first Harvey's I remember going to. The place was renovated since I was there last (many years ago) but it still brought back memories.

Oh, and the poutine container definitely was smaller than usual. I guess they're doing some cost cutting huh?
