[11:33 AM EST - Tired.]

Ugh, I'm bushed. But I've got a meeting to go to, so I can't stay. I couldn't get myself up this morning so I skipped out on the opening sweep and breakfast, but I doubt I would've been able to stay awake on the drive there anyway..

[8:29 PM EST - Delegation.]

That's something I have to work on. It was very handy during last year's surprise party, but I really should see if I can do it more often, and effectively.

[9:20 PM EST - Ready to go to bed.]

Okay, I'm ready to sleep. I'm not sure how the heck I'm still functioning right now! It's been a long weekend. First there was the crazy Friday (the 13th) night antics, and that burned off some sleep time. The morning patrol wasn't so bad on Saturday, and I started hitting the jumps again (since they were hitting the terrain park).

That shift went by faster than I thought it would, and I stuck around a little longer before heading home to take a quick nap before the hockey game.

I told DeeL to give me a call before they left the house, and I had JUST drifted off to sleep when I was awoken by my (very loud) phone. So in the time that they came over to my house, I had woken up, dressed, packed my hockey equipment and moved everthing downstairs. It felt a little surreal.

The game was okay, and the score was a lot closer than it should've been. I didn't play all that badly that day, but DeeL and MasterStorm were still a lot better than me.

I went straight home afterward and for some reason thought that I'd be able to get up at six this morning. I was wrong.

Fortunately, I didn't need to be out at the hill until two, so I decided to get some (much needed) extra rest. That was good since the extra few hours gave me enough energy to drive out and ski a few runs before the meeting.

I actually didn't know where the hill was (it was my first time there) and I didn't know where to go and park, or where the hut was, or where the meeting was being held. When I got to the first gate, I didn't even know that I was at the hill! I was past the second gate by the time I decided to slow down and find parking, so I turned into the third or fourth gate and looked for a place to park.

Since I didn't know where I was going, the plan was to stop, look for the hut, ask for directions, and then repark if I needed to.

I was lucky (as I usually am for some reason). As I was walking down, I noticed someone in a patrol jacket. In fact, it was someone I recognized. Even better, I remembered his name! He asked me where my skis were and I told him that I didn't know where to go. So he gave me directions and I dropped my skis off at the hut. Since we had an hour before the meeting, he gave me a quick tour of the hill (there was no way to get on every run, but he showed me the entire hill). It was pretty cool. The hill is definitely bigger than ours, and they have better runs. Mind you, for a beginner, I think our hill is better, but I'm not quite a beginner anymore right?

Anyway, I didn't fall or anything, so at least I didn't make a fool of myself on the hill. I even got to ride a T-bar for the first time!

The meeting went by quickly. I didn't really have much to add since I wasn't all that prepared.

The drive back was uneventful, and I got home without any incident. I saw part of "Field of Dreams" and now I'm ready for bed.
