[12:16 AM EST - Quick SSL.]

I'm doing a quick implementation of SSL just to see if it works. I sure hope so because I'm getting tired..

[1:23 AM EST - This socket layer is secure.]

Hmm, I think I got this SSL thing working! Now all I have to do is figure out what I can use it for..

[10:03 AM EST - Stupid.. very stupid.]

I think I burned off a lot of driving karma this morning. I was in the left lane, and I needed to make a right hand turn in a couple of lights. But the middle lane was jam packed with cars. So instead of trying to force my way in between, I decided to pull up in front of the column and turn afterward. Unfortunately, the guy in front of me had slowed down so there wasn't much space to pass through. When I finally got in front of that first car, I basically had to turn immediately since I was in the second left lane of (now) a four lane road. I may have cut off another car in the process and I ended up going into the leftmost lane as my tires were beginning to lose their grip. I think I may have burned the clutch a bit as I was in second gear and had the clutch down, but I was able to recover. The road conditions were good and my tires are still fairly new, so I didn't lose control. Still..

<- flashbacks to last time..

Remind me not to do that again.

[10:27 AM EST - Now why did I do that?]

Well, whatever I had to say went out the window. Fortunately, I just remembered to mention that I pulled something in my shoulder three mornings ago. Boy did that hurt. I nearly killed myself trying to get my seatbelt.

Hmm.. I heard on the radio this morning that the majority of the road ragers outon the streets are single males in their 30s. I think road rage stems from built up frustration and agression, so uh.. I should be careful not to cut too many people off huh?

Wait.. I'm nearly thirty..

<- checks.

No road rage yet, but you never know..

[1:46 PM EST - Changing priorities.]

Hrumph. Things like that need time to change. I remember reading one of Orson Scott Card's books from the Ender series. A feeling of emptiness..

[1:47 PM EST - Then there were four..]

Hey, FlyingS's on Orkut as well!

[2:44 PM EST - Port not open?]

Oops.. I think I forgot to open my SSL port. Ah well, I'll do that when I get home. Should I just make everything point there? Is there a benefit? Is there a penalty?

[8:35 PM EST - "woe is me, I'm going to die alone"]

What is up with this time of the year? I was sifting through some of FlyingS's old entries and noticed that quote. Funny how Growly reflected those same thoughts at around the same time.

Hrumph.

[9:39 PM EST - Some cleanup.]

I spent some time paying off some bills and getting some things worked out. We're getting the windows in the computer room fixed, so we had to do a bit of furniture (and computer) moving in there. I also got around to setting up payments for my insurance. I made an appointment to get my oil changed, and..

That's about it I guess. I felt like I did more. Mind you, I got home later than usual..

[9:46 PM EST - Did I mention..]

When I got back from the conference last night I had fifty new messages? Virtually all of them were from the CAHL guys sending insults back and forth in preperation for the next series. Good lord is this family feud.. a feud!

<- hides under a rock.
