[9:19 AM EST - Dream Sequence: Time chase.]

I had a rather remarkable dream this morning. It's unfortunate that I don't remember very much of it. The first part involved some sort of time travel program, where I was taking part as a traveller doing some "good" things. After a little while, the American government got wind of my activities and decided to send the FBI after me. (Yes, I know the FBI is internal.) They were waiting in the bottom of the building that I was working from, but I wanted to complete all of my tasks before seeing them.

Just as I was finishing up, I got caught up with the other group in our floor. I can't remember what they were working on, but they had better looking women.

I was very late and was only reminded to go by a coworker from the first project, so I reluctantly went downstairs.

When I reached the main floor, there were tons of people down there, and it was set up auditorium style. I met quite a number of people that I recognized, but the one person that stood out from the rest was TN. He was wearing a ski patrol jacket, so I congratulated him on obtaining his jacket.

It's too bad I don't remember the tasks I did while travelling in time..

Okay, after seeing a picture, I remember who JM is! It's all good. (As they say.)

[12:12 PM EST - No Tremblant.]

Doh.. I found out that the Tremblant trip conflicts with the Vermont trip. Well, given a choice, I think I'll got to Vermont..

[1:21 PM EST - Groin pop.]

Hmm, I guess Lynx allows me to go back. That's interesting.

I just felt something in my groin pop. Well, I think it's actually my hip joint or pelvis or something in that area, but boy did that freak me out. (Actually my left knee is acting up again, and I've got three days of skiing coming up this week!)

[5:12 PM EST - The task scheduling problem.]

I remembered a discussion I had with LR a while ago about the patrol schedule she put together this year. She complains that she has to do it manually and it takes forever. I decided to start doing some research into an algorithm to reduce the amount of work. There's a lot of stuff out there, and I only just started looking, but I found a nifty article on the use of genetic algorithms to tackle this problem.

Anyone else know where I could find out more information?

[5:28 PM EST - KGL's links.]

I was looking something up when KGL popped in my head. So I popped by her page and came across this link which I found hilarious. Are they really serious?

[11:49 PM EST - Powerless.]

Hmm.. got back from badminton. Didn't play all too badly. Heading out to client site for next few days.

Feel like I want to help, but I'm pretty much powerless at this point. All I can do right now is wait, see, and crack a joke or two..
