[6:24 PM EST - Mail splitter.]

Feeling lazy, I decided to take the script I had that stripped out the mutt headers from messages and decided to expand on it. I changed it to accept mbox formatted messages or folders and split out all the messages (with a running index) while stripping out the extra header information.

This should come in handy since now I won't have to keep separating those messages by hand!

[8:06 PM EST - News Bytes: Cheap forms.]

I was doing a bit of trolling on ArsTechnica and came across a few sites of interest. The first is about a guy who was able to get a very cheap microdrive by gutting mp3 player. I also found a form on fighting spam and something about clueless internet users.

[8:44 PM EST - Top on the list.]

Hrumph. It seems like a search for QYV on Google will give a few of my pages at the top of the pile.

Funky. I noticed it while I was trolling through my logs. I should do that more often. I found some strange things that people look for that end up pointing to this site.

[8:53 PM EST - Logs are so useful.]

I've been sifting through my log files, looking for any google references, and I've come up with a bunch. The ones that keep coming back are the ones related to my quotes, my Axis and Allies stuff, and my BattleTech stuff. It's strange, but I don't think I've touched any of those (really) in years..

[Sunday, March 7, 2004: More hockey patrol.]

I got up early to make it for the opening sweep. Their hut is actually much smaller than ours, although it's connected to a real building with real running water, a real kitchen, and a bathroom. (What a luxury!)

Everyone was friendly, and I got to ski a bit despite the crappy conditions. There weren't many people out that day despite the raffle and the dummy races being held that afternoon. I helped out where I could, but there wasn't really much I could do but walk around and make sure Tony (the Touque) doesn't run over any unsuspecting children.

The dummy races were okay. The kids seemed to enjoy it, and I ended up staying several hours more than I had planned (I only planned to stay a couple of hours). At least I got a free meal out of it all..

Hockey was okay. I played better than I normally did despite my condition. (Very sore and ready to fall asleep.) I think playing on a strong team versus a weak team makes a world of difference.
