[10:20 AM EST - Clobbering time!]

Argh! What I had expected to happen has happened! My connections to my UW account are being clobbered which means that I can't change my firewall to allow access to my server! Curses! *shakes fist*

I'm just lucky that I put together some sort of web interface for the journal update years ago (since the World Broomball championship in 2000). Me so smart! *pats back*

I knew I should've gotten that arson thing working. Oh well, I guess I'll have to fire up that project again and get it working before I come back here because I won't have any access to e-mail during the day.

As they say, all work and no e-mail makes QYV something something..

[10:22 AM EST - Out and aboot.]

I did it again. I woke up before my alarm, and my alarm went off an hour early. I guess this is turning into a habit. Maybe that means I'll be going to bed earlier now? Nah.. I think I'm just getting less sleep..

As I was leaving the house, a thought had entered my head. girl mentioned something to me before she left the house and I was trying to recall what she said. After a minute or so, I was able to dredge up the memory. She told me:

"Don't lock the door!"

<- stops car.

Well, at least I remembered before leaving the neighborhood.

I was removing some money from my account this morning and when I checked my balance, I noticed that there was a lot less money in there than I had expected! I can't think of any reason why I would be so low (and now I'll have to pay service charges *shakes fist*) but the only thing that comes to mind is the post dated cheque I wrote for my life insurance.

I think it was post dated. I don't know the rules and regulations associated with writing post dated cheques so maybe they're allowed to cash it before the date written? (Unless I wrote down 2003 instead of 2004..)

When I arrived at the client site, I drove around the parking lot looking for a place to park. I don't know where some of these people learned to drive, but a good portion of the cars parked in the lot were not parked in the painted spots. Many had parked over two spots or in the middle of the lot! Yikes! No wonder why there's a shortage of parking locations!

[10:37 AM EST - Does that mean I have to work?]

Hmm.. without access to my server, I won't be able to work on this site. That really sucks. I guess I'll have to concentrate on work or I'll end up thinking bad thoughts..

Sucky.

[1:16 PM EST - Mystery meet.]

Been meeting a lot of people I haven't seen since the last time I was in these neck of the woods.

Unfortunately for lunch, I have no idea what it was in that beef thing, but there were some uncooked parts, and some discoloured parts, and..

I sure hope I don't end up getting sick.

Man, I'm still hungry.

[10:57 PM EST - Okay, this is bothering me now..]

Right. Who the heck at Stanford could be reading this blog?

[11:35 PM EST - Broomball transponder.]

I finally got around to picking up my transponder for the highway. Fortunately, the client site was near the office, so I was able to drop by after work. I wasn't sure if I had found the right spot since the area looked like a disaster zone. The building looked brand new, and the area was recently developed.

It wasn't hard to get the transponder, although you have to sign your life away before they give you one. Goody. Hopefully I'll save the company some money this way.

Broomball was pretty good. I had just eaten before heading out, so I gave myself an awful cramp at the beginning of the game, and it's come back to haunt me now. *clenches stomach*

My right forearm is also killing me from trying to handle the ball so much. I really should give it a rest huh?

[11:52 PM EST - Closing holes.]

I've been closing a few security holes I noticed while I was dinking around here. You don't notice these things unless you try to break into your own system (as I was trying today since I couldn't get connected).
