[11:11 AM EDT - A little cleaning up.]

Spent some time this morning doing laundry and cleaning up some stuff. I brought my suit to school so I hope I don't forget it when I catch my ride this afternoon. I've got quite a bit of stuff to move out over the next few weeks, but as long as I do it in little batches, it shouldn't be too hard when I finally move out at the end of the month. Man I got a lot of stuff here. *looks around the office* I should move all of my sports equipment back to Toronto. I don't think I'll be using them this month.

[2:43 PM EDT - Such a nice day.]

We've been getting better weather lately. Hopefully, it'll make up for all of the humidity and rain we got in the past couple of weeks. I'm not particularly sure how I'm going to carry all my stuff on the subway on the way back home, but I'll think of something.

I found two page updates. One from Laz, and the other one by Jax. More on this later..

[3:01 PM EDT - *kicks himself*]

There was something funny going on with one of my scripts.. I hope that's fixed. If not.. *sigh* Well, that would be more time sifting through code..

Oh yeah, being raised in a middle class family, I remember not getting everything that I wanted. That doesn't mean that I got nothing, but there were some things that I didn't got, which I still remember quite distinctly. One of those was a console system. Two actually. When I was young, I really wanted to get an Atari 2600. Later on, I really wanted to get a NES (which just about everyone had at that time). I didn't get either machine. Mind you, I couldn't really justify getting either one since.. well, it was only for entertainment purposes, and I really should be studying for Chinese school (oh gawd), or piano, or.. the list goes on and on.

I guess it's a good thing that I didn't get everything that I wanted. It's made me look hard at the items that I want to get, and deciding whether or not it's worth purchasing or not. I won't say that I'm a very careful buyer, I do go on buying binges sometimes (especially in a grocery store when I'm hungry), but I won't go out and grab something until I'm sure I really want it. I held off on buying an APEX for that reason. Looking back, I'm glad I didn't. I don't have any DVD's, and I don't foresee getting any anytime soon. Mind you, it was basically a once in a lifetime deal, but *shrug* something better will come along.

It also means that I don't need very much to be satisfied. Looking at my stuff, I realize that I've been living quite a frugal life, but would my life be any better if I bought all the stuff that I wanted? *thinks* Maybe. But I'm enjoying life now, and as the saying goes,

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Oh yeah, about those game systems that I wanted when I was a kid, so many people I knew already had one that I could visit just about anybody and get my fill of mind (and thumb) numbing entertainment just about anytime I wanted anyway.

One more thing, I remember trying to transcribe songs to the piano when I was a kid. That was.. holy, a decade ago? I wonder where all that energy went?

[5:48 PM EDT - Surely you're joking..]

"I'm not joking, and my name's not Shirley."

I just read through the page Laz linked up about Feynman and his story about asking girls to sleep with him. *blink* Okay, that came out wrong, but it's a good read nonetheless.

I'm getting awfully hungry and my ride should be here shortly. I don't know if I can hold out until dinner or not, there's at least a two hour wait before I make it back..

Oh well, I've been in worse situations. I should get going.
