[11:57 AM EDT - Lucky day.]

Hmm, expect quite a number of Chinese babies to be born today. Anyway, I made it to school, a little late it seems. I couldn't go to sleep last night for some reason. Odd. Anyway, I heard from Riston that there might be a chance to play in the world broomball championships in October. I want to go!! I should look around to see if other (good) people are interested though.

[3:19 PM EDT - Problems and promise.]

Laz pointed me out to a problem which I had with my comment script, which I've hopefully fixed now. I've also been adding some "improvements" which I hope will add a bit more to the comment lists. We'll see.

[6:19 PM EDT - The floodgates..]

We got hit by a quick downpour this afternoon. It didn't really affect us much since the lightning was minimal in our area. Also, most of the water that did fall down during that half-hour storm has mostly evaporated already. Mind you, it's really humid out there.. *wipes sweat drop*

I forgot to mention last weekend that Growly and Laz told me that there was a Star Wars trailer for the second episode out! I was a little skeptical about this announcement, and I'm still waiting for the URL for the video. I thought what he had found was the episode II trailer that some guy cobbled together from various movies. I mentioned it.. er.. *flips through journal* Hmm, I guess I never mentioned it. How odd. I think I found out about it on ArsTechnica or the ShackNews, but in any case, I've got a copy if anyone wants to take a peek. They told me that it wasn't the same one. I've checked out the starwars.com site without success, so I'll just wait patiently..

*twiddles thumbs*

[6:36 PM EDT - Something I forgot.]

I've added homepage links to the comment lists. It used to be a bug after I had incorporated the preview feature, but I figured that it might actually be a nice "feature", so I coded it back in. (With a different method of course.) Now to work on the layout of the comment list..

Oh yeah, there seems to be some sort of problem with Laz's page. I can't seem to access it. Growly first told me about it last weekend, but I don't think I had a problem at that time. Now.. now I have no idea why it doesn't work. Is Laz taking down his page? No! Say it isn't so!!

[7:13 PM EDT - Trailer.]

So I took a look at the Star Wars trailer, and although the quality was excellent, it was basically a rehash of the original fake trailer that I had seen a few months back (I still can't believe I didn't talk about it). Laz, Growly, didn't you recognize some of the footage from other movies?!? (Probably not, I probably wouldn't have noticed if I wasn't tipped off beforehand.) Apparently the blowing up thing was from Dune, and many of the other clips were from the Phantom Menace. I could've sworn I showed this to Laz already.. Ah well.. I'll continue to wait..

Oh yeah, I'm going to stick on the first trailer (about four megs) here for a little while if you want to compare.

[7:34 PM EDT - What the..]

Seems like Laz commented while I was doing some editing and commenting of my own. Ah well. I'm still rather impressed by the amount of work the guy put into the trailer. He took off the disclaimer from the second trailer, and the fact that the site doesn't debunk this trailer as "some guy with too much time on his hands" piece of work definitely adds to the.. er.. suspension of disbelief.

[9:25 PM EDT - Down.]

I had to take the trailer down. We ran out of space on the drive.

[9:33 PM EDT - Fixed.]

I was having problems with expressing < and > as < and > in the comment script. It had to do with the preview thing.. but it should be fixed now..

[10:24 PM EDT - It stopped raining.]

I'm going to head out while I can, but I finally compactified (if that's a real word) the comment list table so that it should fit in a window. (If you're not using javascript, then it doesn't compactify the table, but that's okay because you wouldn't be able to open the window). So I'm fairly happy with the comment list script, which leaves me with only one more script to really clean up. The search script. *cue ominous music*

Ciao!
