[12:52 PM EDT - Crutchless in Waterloo.]

I was feeling awfully good today..

[1:56 PM EDT - Take two.]

Whoa, I think I got a little distracted there. *looks at the time* Anyway, as I was saying before, I was feeling awfully good today, so I decided to go and walk to school without my crutch. Guh. It took me forty-five minutes of hard limping to make it to my office. I hope I don't have to do that again. Wait.. how will I get home? *smacks forehead* Doh!

I woke up a little late today. I had finished off my cinnamon buns yesterday, so I decided to make some corned beef hash for breakfast today. I grabbed a pan, grabbed a bag of hash browns, grabbed a can of corned beef, and started to open the.. Hmm.. these cans of corned beef are like spam cans. They have this metal key object (I don't know what they're called) that you attach to a metal tab and twist so that you basically peel off part of the can so you could open it. It's quite a cute innovation, and it means that you don't need a can opener to get at the food inside. The problem is when they don't attach a key to the can. I checked my other can. No dice. Damn you Biway! *shakes fist* I knew the price was too good to be true.

Pulling at the metal tab was too difficult, and gave me a nice papercut. (Well, not a papercut per se, but something akin to it.) I tried using a fork. Nope. Chopsticks? Whatever. I gave up in the end, and put the food away, as I was putting my frying pan back upstairs, I noticed that my imitation Swiss army knife on the dresser. Hmm.. I pulled out each of the gadgets one by one and came across this saw like thing (that I never used) which had some promise. I was able to wrap the metal tab around the saw so that it would be taut, and twisted. It worked! Yay! Corned beef hash, here we come!

Mmm. Yeah, that was a good meal. *pats tummy*

With all of the herbal stuff that I've been putting on my leg, my room has started to smell like some herbal apothecary. It doesn't smell bad mind you, it just smells weird.

Okay, let's see what I can do now..

[4:53 PM EDT - The Matrix, 2nd edition.]

I just got word from HKL (who pointed me to a link on HardOCP) that there's a rebastardization of The Matrix up on detonate.net. Check it out!

[7:17 PM EDT - Dark all of a sudden.]

What the.. I go away for a moment (okay, maybe an hour or so) and the whole sky's gone black. It sure looks like a bad storm is rumbling through and I've got to waddle home. Yahoo.

Oh yeah, the time away from the window was spent fixing up the Eine Kleine Naughtmusik - Magic Flute song. Any of you people interested can ask me to put it somewhere.

I have a bad feeling I'm not going to out hobble this storm. *looks outside with trepidation*

[8:27 PM EDT - It doesn't look so bad..]

So I'm still here. I decided to wait out the storm since I knew I wasn't going to out run it. I think my patience has paid off. The main dark cloud has already passed and now it's just overcast. (They rhymed!) I think I can go home with relative comfort and safety now.

I just wanted to mention that Sparky's thinking of not updating her homepage again. What can I say? I think my previous comments still hold. In any case, whatever she decides to do, I hope everything goes well for her, since she seems to be enjoying life ATM.

Funny thing though, I started up this page because I was a little bored and depressed. But I still update it when I'm busy and happy (or apathetic and ambivalent). So I don't know what the heck drives me to continue updating this page apart from habit.

*shrug*

How knows? Who cares?

I'm just wondering where I'll put this thing once I leave Waterloo.

*ponders*

What the heck! I don't even know where I'll be in a couple of months, I think this page is the least of my problems.

[8:44 PM EDT - ..and look at that sunset!]

Oh man, that's an amazing sunset we're starting to get down here. The retreating clouds are amplifying the size and hues of the final rays of sunshine. It would've been a good camera shot, but we've got a building in the way, and I don't have my camera here. I might bring it tomorrow to the show, but I think I should worry about getting to school first. (Actually, I should worry about getting home, why am I still here?!?)

Time to close up shop. I'm going home.
